I’m half Korean and half Finnish. My father was in the US Military. I was born in South Korea in 1965 but raised in the USA. I’m 56. I was made fun of but it was mild. I realized, at a young age, that kids make fun of everyone. It was comments from my friends parents that I remember. Overall I did not have a tough childhood due to being mixed race. I had a rough childhood because both of my parents had severe problems with addictions.

She seems a tad bit uncomfortable talking about the Alabama story. I wonder did that story also help inspire you to create the halfie project? He's a great partner to interview her.. Both of you are doing great media wise. This was good. Keep up the good work. You guys are treading on a sensitive topic very professionally. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I think you and your wife are totally beautiful. Reason for people in the world racism is due to small minds and never taken the time to get to know one another. Main thing is to love one other regardless of the color of your skin. People always have to learn the hard way. Respect

I wonder if she did not have many experiences in Korea was because aesthetically, she is not very different from other Koreans. He clearly stands out more. I have heard that half white Koreans have a much easier time than half black half Koreans.

Ok, here is the solution to language deficiency. Two days of the week you and Becky speak nothing but Korean to each other. I have been where Cedric is now. If you are still developing language skills and get in a close relationship with a person that is more fluent, one will place most of the speaking on the more fluent person. That crutch will diminish your skills. So Cedric needs to force himself to speak Korean with Becky more. In the long run, it will be better for the kids if both parents are bilingual, trilingual, or more. The kids will be able to master both languages if they learn them early.

👋🏾 Hello! This is such timely discussion for us here in the States, as we have so much hype being played out around the study of what caucasians think is Critical Race Theory! I would like to hear more of how Becky’s parents dealt with race issues that their kids experienced while in the States, especially Alabama? It must have touched their life in some way? Did you date any White males or from any friendships with White males? What specifically do you find most attractive about Cedi? Anyway, it would help give the viewer more insight into who you are as a person! Anyway, I like that you two are so real in your content discussion! Keep these videos going; they are very meaningful! ✌🏾

@LeMulatto Professor Well! Good for You! In my day, Black History was taught as an elective subject! There should be more discussion to again have it be an elective subject! Either way, Black History should not be erased just because someone is uncomfortable with the documented facts! ✌🏾

I am big fan of you guys. But I cannot understand fully what you guys said in your videos. My English is not good. sorry..... Anyway, I have a question to you guys. I thinks Becky's Korean speaking is good. So... Can you guys think in your head by Korean? or English?. And When you guys were young, how you learn both language? Your mom tried to teach you Korean? Was it hard to learn both language? Please take this subject as you make next video.

I'm half Korean half American. I think most of us have similar experiences. I'm a product of the post Korean War. I have to say I don't feel Korean. I get in touch with my Korean side by food. I had a hard time in Korea as a. boy bc people stared alot which made me feel uncomfortable.

hmmmm. Becky seems to have only one mode. Trying to be clever, which is usually a guard, and actually can be an indirect way of being mean. I didn’t really learn anything about what it was like for her growing up half and half, except she does seem very uncomfortable in her own skin. I am half and half, and I think Becky should take a deep breath and just look inward into what she wants. She seems to be jumping from one thing to another. This can especially happen to those of us who were brought up out of our ethnicity, but with parents who still instilled in us heavy ethnic cultural values. We get torn. Anyways, you’re a big girl now. Look inward and try to be less concerned putting everyone else in their place. Find your place. Go work in musical theater if that is what you love!!! I also write this, because I want mixed people not to just feel uncomfortable and out of place, I want us to be stable and know we do belong and not just fall prey to being all the anxiety ridden attitudes that surrounded us because we were different ethnically. I say this with love!!!
