Grundig G5 look and Review

Have had mine for about three years, great radio. Clean with a stiff cheap paint brush or tooth brush to get the dirt out of those little holes. Works pretty good.

Glad I picked this up used when I did 7 years ago, because it's impossible to find now. This is a monster, and made spending money on something like the PL-330 or 660 unnecessarily. Again, you can't find this radio anymore, but it is damn near a perfect PLL/SSB receiver after all these years.

it depends in the band. I Tested Grindig G5 vs Tecsun PL 600 and PL660 and G5 is flawless on FM and AM, but on SW especially low band 2-10 Mhz Tecsun are better

I have a bunch of weird and strange recordings, No number stations, No new digital modes, just a bunch of weird stuff I picked up since 2007... Very weird stuff O.o

Great video. My G3 is a great radio but the plastic cabinet deteriorated and the antenna screw fell inside the cabinet making the antenna flop around and the back stand broke at the same time. I literally just touched it and it fell apart. It was a grippy cabinet when I purchased it but in Actually became sticky. I think that was the problem with the cabinet. I won't buy another Grundig.

My G5 worked great for years. It went DEAF! I reset it multiple times, changed batteries. All I get is white noise on all bands. (AM, FM, SSB) Not working with external antenna. SAD!
