I still have it. I loved this guy who was the kindest man with a big heart. He invited me to a private party with the SCTV crew at a pinball arcade called Funland which was downtown on younge Street Toronto. Dying young is certainly “tragic”. But up to to that point he was on a roll. He accomplished a lot and made the whole world laugh. Not entirely “tragic”

He daughter said in a interview that the film uncle buck best describes her father personality. I think that says a lot about him 🙂

Something I never understood is why his wife demand no autopsy be done I always thought that was suspicious.
@bonitajordan68254 жыл бұрын
I don’t. No widow wants to have an autopsy. It’s too horrible to contemplate. Been there, done that. 😢
@stevelovessialetsdance59664 жыл бұрын
Look when I die I would hope that an autopsy would be done to rule out any foul play like cyanide or anything else a cause should be necessary 🤷 nobody should dictate whether or not an autopsy should be done up until now I thought they did them automatically ⚰️if somebody poisoned somebody I loved I would want to know but hey that's just me.

He had heart problems so dying of heart related issues isnt suspicious so no, I wouldn't want an autopsy done either

I think they have to do them if you die at home to make sure of no foul play.

TIL: Young John Candy looked a lot like Bill Hicks. Serious note, him as Del Griffith changed the way I look at movies. He obviously had Funny down to a T... but if you don't wanna cry, and the end of Planes, Trains & Automobiles... you are a cyborg, and I can't understand you because you speak binary. He absolutely destroys you, in that scene. But to go from so light-hearted and funny, to so sorrowful and heart-felt in the same movie, shouldn't be ignored. RIP John Candy

Its sad how often some of the best actors and public figures die too soon.

There might not be an actor/comedian that is as unanimously loved as John Candy. He’s on that short list of people that you never hear anything negative said about them or parodied in a mocking or negative manner. I think it’s pretty much just him, Tom Hanks, and Michael J. Fox.
