Hi, I play GTA Online, and have for about 5 years now. The Casino is actually Rigged in your Favor to keep you coming back to GTA Online. The best game is the Horse Races at a Whopping 197.38%~ Payout Rate. It's litterally just a Basic Multiple Choice Test of "Who here has the highest probability to win?" You don't even need the Penthouse. Buy an Agency, play though The Contract a few times, then take those millions right to the Slots, or 3 Card Poker. You will litterally begin to Print Money. Passively, alongside all of your other real Ventures. I genuinely cannot wait to see GTA 6. I know it will be good. Activision Blizzard and GearBox are FAAAAAR Away from this Project. I immediately stopped playing GTA Online after I realized other players could cost me money through casual gameplay in such a way that I can't actually progress meaningfully in any way. Like players are incentivized to make unmonetized player's experience miserable, because they actually have to earn back the money you cause them to lose whereas you can just buy a Shark Card every time an expansion comes out

The people who downplay GTA 6 don't understand the expectation such a monument creates. If GTA6 isn't one of the most innovative, creative, revolutionary game experiences of all time; then it's a failure. You simply cannot spend the most money in history on a game and have it come out as simply "decent". It's akin to how the original Avatar was a "decent" movie at best despite being the biggest budget and longest development time of film history. People consider it a failure for that reason, but we're sadly going to see lots of people saying that doing ubisoft-style world quests on a map is going to be Game of the Year.

It's doubly stupid because of the enormous advances in AI. From graphics, textures, voice, music... All have cratered the cost of doing this stuff and increased the dynamism possible. Having hundreds of artists and masses of time spent recording voices (and all the language variants) costs hundreds of millions at least. There are only two solutions to that, and self improvement is both hard and can only go so far. Then you factor in ideas of if you and/or they deserve it, and we see more of how the vast majority of humans typically just use logic and morality to justify what they wanted to do anyway, so long as the consequences of their actions do not immediately slap them in the face (and that’s mostly just because of natural selection constantly reinforcing that).

Jokes aside, no game should cost that. It will most likely be all in the graphics but nothing else, and the realism will look bad in about 10 years. This is why I prefer cel-shaded games to realistic ones, the stylized art direction makes it age better. One of my favorite examples of stylized games besides Jet Set Radio is Megaman Legends, the 2D face portraits have far more character than any hyperrealistic face mocap.

Forget the woke bs, they’ve been using the same game design since gta4 - go to a place, talk, go to another place and listen to someone else talk, do the thing, listen to more talking on the way back. Rinse and repeat. GTA5 and RDR2 felt like driving (riding) sims with a story built around it. While RDR2 had an amazing story the gameplay is so boring I can’t force myself to slog through it again. And all the money is going into online anyway so the story is going to be an afterthought anyway. Also Herr Strauss has been hinting the base game price could be at least $100. There’s nothing about this game that has me excited, it’s become what it used to parody for years.

Even if this game didn't end up being a woke mess (Which unfortunately, based on what I've seen, it certainly will) We all know the Singleplayer wouldn't be good anyway, as Rockstar would prefer to develop Multiplayer, since that's where all the money is. Remember that GTA 5 was planned to have Singleplayer DLCs but they were scrapped in favor of GTA Online. Another modern example is the reboot of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Some of the missions in that campaign were just reused assets from Warzone.

Spicy take but GTA V ruined modern gaming. Not single handed mind you, but when it made a billion in its first three days, that set the bar for every game (at least in the eyes of the big publishers) thereafter. Then GTA Online and its f--ing shark cards became hugely popular, and now MTXs and live services BS are crammed into everything. To really put things into perspective, BOTW is estimated to have cost Nintendo $50 million. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was probably in the same ballpark. Mario Odyssey about $20-$30 million. All those games are modern classics. The idea that you need $200 million+ budgets to make good games that sell has been well and thoroughly busted time and time again. So yes, where is that money going?

Rockstar has grown to be a "real company" - so they are overfilled with useless bloat, middle managers, consultants, and all of those are constantly telling the others to re-do certain aspects of the game for the twentieth time, don't communicate with each other, and all the while hiring more bloat via nepotism. Not going to buy it based on what Rockstar's been doing with all the w0ke BS. Plus I already tolerated the crappy rockstar launcher with 5 because 4 was good, but 4 had way better and more complete / immersive physics for even the smallest details like tyre punctures, and they cut out a whole chunk of the game prior to launch for no reason.
