I used the parachute a lot in the past when I had more time training my swim. I think I should start to incorporate it again in my training,it helped my improve a lot my swim speed.

The swim tether is great if you're on holiday in a really short pool. We had a villa with a 7m pool, which was great for practising turns, but I used a tether and was able to keep my swim training going. I connected it to a force meter plugged into my laptop, did some maths, and created a FIT file to upload to Garmin as if it were a proper swim. I need to get out more often.

The giant resistance band is lot more fun if you have someone holding onto it. When you reach max resistance, they pull you back in as you swim back to them. The tidal wave you make is pretty sweet. Also a 5 gallon bucket is way better than the paracute since it doesn't move around as much. And aside from the sponges, everything else seems pretty normal to me, even using the kick board as a pull buoy. Now if you you want to get even more spunky, you can use the kick board like a canoe paddle by holding the board on the front and back of it, lay on you back in the water, and as you turn from side to side, you paddle with it down the pool.

I was recently sharing a lane with an ex Olympian, he was using a parachute and not only could I still not keep in his draft but he still felt like a passing motor boat on his return lap😂 it was awesomely demoralizing

I really don't need any resistance toys. My own drowning legs are more than enough. 😂

Swimming with a parachute or sponge is no joke. Maybe in my college days I could have done it, in my 50s I thought I was going to start going backwards. 😂 Used the bungee during Covid in the back yard pool, works well in a pinch.

I remember towing a bucket 40 odd years ago before they have parachutes like that. 😂😮😢 Suddenly reading that I feel old….. 😢

Nothing like swimming with a Home Depot bucket in tow. More swimming. More doing. That's the power of the Home Depot 5 gallon bucket.
