Ethan should have the Japan trip count as a work trip (which it sounds like it is) thus allowing the crew to still have their two weeks of vacation after. The audience will still get content from Japan and the crew will be able to rest up after and destress. This trip, however fun it might be, should not feed into their personal vacation time. One thing they aren’t considering is that the first day or so in Japan and a couple days after, they will feel extremely tired due to the jet lag.
@haileyluntz1065 Жыл бұрын
Yea, 5 days in Japan with economy flights Is not realistic imo. I did 10 hours last fall to Germany on economy, was there for 2 weeks and mentally preparing get back on the plane was honestly very hard even being ready to come home(of course there were flight issues too and It ended up being 24 hours). If theres people on the crew that don’t like hectic traveling it’s going to be a stressful trip.
@wellhello1603 Жыл бұрын
I agree completely, they should have their 2 weeks off and this trip shouldn’t be counted as that, because it is work related. Although it will be fun, but it’s not gonna be the same as free time vacation and some of the crew seemed to have plans already made for their time off too.

Small criticism: the trip shouldn’t impede on the planned summer vacation. Do content in Japan and let everyone have real time away from work too. No hate, I just think even a fun trip with your work is still not the same as a vacation even if you aren‘t doing content. Gotta have time to step away completely, see your fam, be alone, have free will, not see your coworkers for a bit. Big trips like that can also be super draining & coming back to work after especially with less days there and such long flights(in coach)- maybe do a blow out with content then a break after? That way crew that wants to stay longer could. Or people can come back with Ethan and hila and do whatever they want during the following break.
@brittanyshaw3156 Жыл бұрын

The kids will miss them, they will miss the kids, but everyone will be fine. It's not like the kids are being abandoned 😅
@LoryBelle Жыл бұрын
@@aleesiauh why is that unfortunate? They’re retired grandparents, it’s perfectly reasonable to be doubtful they have the stamina to care for a baby & a toddler for a week straight. I doubt they have the stamina for that, why would they? They’re old lol, they haven’t lived the all-nighter kid life for at least 30 yeats. Grandparents love spending time with their grandbabies, but they’re notorious for passing out from pure exhaustion and basically clocking out before the job is done if you rely on them for too long. Remember the grandpa in Rugrats? True story, bro. Falling asleep on the job seriously, seriously, SERIOUSLY isn’t an option with such young children, esp their two kids who’ve they expressed are not the best sleepers! There’s nothing wrong with Ethan thinking they’d probably need to send the nanny as well to ensure the kids are properly looked after for an entire week. Less because of what his parents would be willing to do, and more because it’s simply a tall order!

the trip is def going to run more than 150K. the logistics, travel/public transportation, guide/translator, pocket money, etc. it'll be a lot of little things. also, i really hope they all get to travel business for the international flight. first class is ridiculous and so unnecessary but if they want to spend more to travel comfortably (ethan said he wanted to be able to lay down), you only need to upgrade as high as business class. sitting economy on flights longer than 5-6 hours is HELL.

I love having kids glad I have them, but it's more about age and what they can do and how much they'll remember.

absolutely love the pod but gotta say that the crew was being so affordable with their trip ideas (while thinking 620k was the budget) and Ethan was fixated on the cost the whole time
@mis_123 Жыл бұрын
This episode was so entertaining but also a little tense. For those who were quick to judge here are a few things to consider: 1. The trip will be taking place during the pods specific vacation time. Which based on some of the crews reactions, they did not know. Time that was previously designated for relaxing with family and getting away from work, is now connected to work. Yes, I get it it’s an incredibly generous offer from Ethan and Hila however they would still be working or at least thinking of ways to produce content during time that is supposed to be away from content. 2. $8k is a lot of money! Let’s be real not everyone has the luxury to make a split second decision of either a vacation or money. Thinking in a fiscally responsible way does not make the crew “money hungry” 3. Going to Japan for six days, being jet lagged once you get there, adjusting when you get back, are things that need to be considered. To me personally 6 days does not seem like enough time to justify that amount of travel and disturbance. Anyways I don’t think they should have made any sort of final decision live. This conversation only helped to instigate hate that crew members already get on a daily basis. If they took the money they would be framed as “money hungry” - even if Ethan and Hila said it was their own choices and no one was forcing them. Let’s be honest here the entire chat was spamming Japan. So is it really their own choice. Let’s not assume anyone’s financial well-being, if they even like to travel, or that they didn’t want to use their vacation time for a personal break. ✌🏻 & ❤

6 days is not enough time in japan. 2 weeks. Or 10 days. I feel like you need a good like 9 leisurely days. 4 extra days, minimum. In terms of non jet lagged days.
