Yes. When I discovered Dr. Dalgleish's research I instantly started putting it into action. Have you seen the livestream where we went through his study and created a Memory Palace live for the exercise? kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKSchnuwadWJq68

The meditation has helped me a lot. I'm starting to use Tibetan meditation. Harvard did a study on Tibetan monks and found they have above average visual spatial memory. If you do a google search for, tibetan monk memory object, it should bring up the study.

@AnthonyMetivierMMM3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words - though as I often like to say: The time to consider one a legend is really 50-500 years after one’s death. But I do appreciate it all the same. Have you been meditating much lately? 🙏

That was really great thanks Anthony. Helped to change the perspective on a memory I’ve held onto for far too long. The potential of developing memory seems to have no limits! Thanks again 🙏

Thanks for checking this out and glad that it helped change your perspective on an old memory. That's a great outcome. Please let me know if any questions or more ideas about this approach emerge. This is still an experiment based on the Dalgleish research and I'm hoping to gather as much feedback as possible for developing the approach further. :-)

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM my glad, on my meditation session I recalled two memories one at the university stage where I was depressed. and the other one at a Cafe where I had great memories. later at my day I get so mad at my girlfriend. I went to the gym and recalled the memory of my anger and insecurity. in hand with a great memory together. I apologized and noticed that my insecurity was the hidden path to reflect and trust. its like the great memory was a parasite of light.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM I’m wondering if you have any thoughts about how this could or might be applied to physical pain/chronic pain? With the painful image/memory being the location in the body...
@AnthonyMetivierMMM3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is something called "pain mapping." I've explored it a fair amount, and it basically works like mind mapping. You draw where you feel the discomfort in your body and then work to alter the sensations. It's not exactly art therapy, but does have some effect. In terms of meditation, the work is to treat the sensations as things that arise in consciousness. Much can be achieved by working with it through comparison, contrast and acceptance. Even without the possibility of resolution, these approaches can be powerful. There's an interesting QC interview with George Clooney about this chronic pain that you might be interested in. His answer basically suggests he combined processes like these.

Hello sir. I am doing origami as a hobby and I have invented the technique of memorizing paper folding movements myself. it works as follows. I give each folding move a number, then convert them into letters and save them in my memory palace. and it works.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM3 жыл бұрын
Cool! Do you find the process meditative?
@holmes13053 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyMetivierMMM Yes, it is absolutely relaxed. because I both save time and make people happy when they see that I have not forgotten. But it is a bit difficult and tiring to save the folding movements first to number and then to letters and to save the story to the memory palace after I have done it, but it is relaxing and it feels good and works for me as I have not forgotten it.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM3 жыл бұрын
Have you considered using other approaches to the Memory Palace technique?
@holmes13053 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyMetivierMMM No, I have never tried it, just choose the most known technique, namely your palace, reinforce the information there. I use it and I don't know if there is any other approach to the memory palace.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM3 жыл бұрын
I don't know much about origami, but I imagine there must be a way to use the paper itself as a kind of Memory Palace. The Da Vinci formula does something like this with flat surfaces and grids for drawing that you either lightly sketch or mentally impose.

Body language: no one in the photo of Bad Policy shows himself in an assertive way. Just four shy kids hiding their hands, not showing their torsos to the potential photograph's potential viewer. One cannot feel the kind of warlike hunger a band of youngsters needs to conquer the world. Egomania is a drawback in common life - but not in the entertainment world, not on a stage. One must crave to be seen here.
