This was really fantastic! I'm not a morning person, now that I'm semi-retired morning routines have gone out the window! This is really great for helping me get done in a short period of time, what I need to get done. Meditation/routine or not, an invaluable general point that was made here will really help me: to find what one already has one within oneself to deal with a situation. Most "self-help" and philosophical approaches to daily life often suggest trying to apply a technique or learn a technique. I've actually never heard anyone suggest looking within for one's own strengths/virtues (even though - or especially because -we might not always be aware that we have them).

I decided I would get up at 5.00am every morning instead of crashing out after a week I was going to bed every night and totally crashing out till 5.00am it changed my life. I was functioning to full capacity and getting so much more done in those early morning hours. Ive got a good morning routine.. I wake up without alarm, whenever the hell I feel like it, usually 4:30am sometimes 3:30am sometimes 5:30am... But the first thing I do is 100 situps. I just roll out of bed and go. Ive been doing this for 4 years now without missing a day except when I had covid. The next thing I do is go for a 3-8 mile walk or run while it's still dark and there are no people to distract me. When I get back, I cook some oats drink tea and muddle around checking emails, reading statements, playing guitar, meditating, or journaling as I please. What I do and it works for me, is I keep my expectations of myself super low and meet them regularly, but I stay consistent with my constant but low level challenges. This avoids burnout.

I try to wake at 5 or 6 daily on weekdays or weekends. And the change is amazing... I front load my day when my mind is fresh and the productivity skyrockets.
