I’ve had my three little boys for nearly 10 weeks and in that time I have binge watched your videos, you have helped me learn so much on how to properly care for my piggies, and much much more. You have given me the confidence to groom them and give them floor time, not be so stressed about their food and now after 10 weeks....2 of my babies moose and Gary will let me stroke them and hand feed them, but I’ve a special little boy called Ron and he comes running for cuddle time and enjoys being picked up and held I never would have gotten this far if it wasn’t for you....thankyou 💋

If I cut my Peruvians hair, I show him his hair. So he knows I wasn't trying to "torture" him on purpose. He looks at it 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️. Not really sure if that actually helps. He def. doesn't like hair cuts. But he's never bit me. Hard anyway. 🤔 At least I think he doesn't hate me w/ a passion 😅. He snuggles & doesn't even throw a tantrum when I bathe him. 3 😦? I have only two. Luckily, they've never fought. Really hard anyway.

I buy the large lunch bags at the grocery store , fold down the top so they stay open , and put one bag for each pig down for play time. The find it hilarious. The make their own exit doors/windows. They love that it makes noise. After a day of redecorating, they usually fall asleep inside of their creation. Keeps them busy for a good long time.

I have two boys, we only have 2 pet store cages combined but I’m getting a bigger cage soon. One of the chews on the bars when I’m preparing their food. One rumble stuts everywhere, and the one who bites the bars humps on the other ones face for fun

3 out of 4 of my piggies require daily grooming and monthly hair cuts. 1 of them is absolutely terrified of being brushed/ held/ touched- anything! and it’s super difficult for me.

Nail cutting is the worst. We do it every 8 weeks and always manage to accidentally cut one until they bleed. Usually a new one (my mom fosters) After the 2nd time they’re calm with almost no slip ups. We’ve tried to do it professionally, and have our vet (also my friend) do it. They still bleed if it’s the first time. Just won’t sit still. Breaks my heart

The first time I had to cut my guinea pig's hair I almost cried because I felt so sorry for him. It was weird that we were crying together. Now it's much easier because he's getting used to it.

I strongly recommend anyone with a long haired guinea pig consider using electric hair clippers on them. It's a lot less stressful for them and they cannot hurt themselves on the blades when they jump. My guinea pigs tolerated it SO much better than scissors, SO less stressful for everyone concerned.

When I would trim up my peruvian's backside I started off using scissors. It was such a hassle and he hated when I did it. I even bought my own grooming shears so my regular kitchen scissors wouldn't pull his hair. Then I used my WAHL clipper I use to cut my husband's hair. Total game changer. So much faster, easier and you can really get in there to get it cleaned up.

Lulu looks exactly like our Cuddles, who we lost 7 years ago ❤️💔 her bum hair used to get very matted to the point it would get hard and every movement she made hurt her as it pulled her hair. We cut her bum hair regularly but she got lots of treats so she didn’t mind too much 😊

Our longhaired Lady hates me After each haircut. I use medical scissors and take good care not to put tension on the strands that are to be cut.

I got my guinea pigs when they were still little and I didn't think I would have a long haired guinea pig, because they looked like Abyssinians, turns out that 2 of them are long haired and I think it's the cutest thing! One of them looks like they have a roof on their head, it's pretty funny, I often have to cut the hair on her head, because it grown before her eyes and she doesn't see as well.

I put Fabio on a foot stool with some fleece to sit on, He sit still. Try using a small hair buzzzer. Works great and no fear of cuts.

When she first arrived, Lulu actually fought with Sylvester for dominance, unusual for a female considering the boar usually runs the herd. Maybe she was the dominant one in her old home (or perhaps there was no boar there)?

The channel Meerschweinchen im Glück has a great tip for cutting guinea pigs hair, which is to hold out the hair you want to cut next to the guinea pig's body with your fingers so that if you slip you cut your hand and not the guinea pig. Love your channel and just wanted to mention this :)

When I got my Abyssinian I was scared about having to cut his hair because people online were saying to trim it around some of thier piggies bums. Fortunately his hair stays really short and neat there but now I'm glad to know because of your video that's it's not quite as intimidating as I thought it may be if I ever have to do it! I'm so happy about all your videos though I've learned so much about guinea pigs from you and my current piggies are all the more happy for it!

Does your Peruvian popcorn alot? 🤔 I wonder if it's part of their personality. Not that my other one doesn't show obvious signs of content. It's just, my Axl popcorns alot, alot. It's like he'll just popcorn at just the simple thought of existing or something. Not that I'm complaining, it's the cutest thing ever. But I think Whiskers grooms his behind area. Bc I know Axl can't reach back there & I don't cut his hair as short as it is. His hair is in so many different layers & he's so adorably blissful to it. When he moves his head, to brush his hair to the side, it's like Justin Beiber hair moves. Or when he answers to me calling for him, he makes me think of Zoolander. Lulu is precious. But they're all cute.
