Suffering much loss these days. Last Train Home helps express some spiritual thoughts I share in the home during these Covidian days but in a more profound musical manner, as is our calling. Thank you for the clarity in your teaching as I continue to explore these thoughts. God bless. "He's Alive".

Just the very best tutorial on a not so easy piece. Your patience and musical knowledge is outstanding. Thanx so much for this, as your instructional manner will help me out greatly to learn this song. You're awesome.

so good Tim, just discovered your clip/lesson here, such a sweet sound you have there thanks so much i am workin on it :-) "last train home" has an emotion attached to it, well for me anyway, from a time in the past when services shut down earlier than they do today. I guess this beautiful ballad seems like a soundtrack to the experience when things shut down literally and metaphorically. just a thought.

That's just the sound of the guitar plugged into the computer with some plate reverb. No pedals. Thanks for watching

Wow... The song is in the Key of A. I used to play along to it with by record player in B flat. I would have to revisit the song... Wouldn't be the first time the RPM on an old record player was off.

I'm pretty sure you're right that it's actually in B flat.

Thanks for showing these voicings, Tim. What a lovely tune and so easy to play. (Wish I could write like Metheney, eh?) It would be really helpful if you described the finger position by referring to the string # and the actual note being played, and yes, the finger used by (either 1-4 or index, middle, ring, pinky...) So for example: "slide the pinky on the 3rd string, from the 4th to the 5th fret." or " Bar at the second fret with your second finger on the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd strings. So, E note on the 4th string, A note on the 3rd, and C# on the 2nd string..." Just trying to be helpful :-)

Hello! I am José, From bueno Aires, Argentina. I Dont know speack english very well. I'll deal with the google translator. First of all, you have an email to be able to speak by that means ?. I want to ask you what tuning you are using, and if your guitar is a common guitar and if it can be achieved from any guitar. It is a dream for me to be able to get the tablature of the album One quiet night and be able to play it... THANKSSSS

It sounds great, but I also think Pat plays it in B flat instead of A.

You are right, though he doesn't play it acoustic, just the melody line. But yeah, the tune orginally is played from B.
