Jinjer is my favorite band and has been for 5 years now, still remember when and where I heard my 1st song. I am an old metal fan and like you love solos aka Saki from Nemophila is my favorite guitarist. Jinjer though has little to no solos. It is hard to classify their style, Eugene the bassist calls it extreme progressive. It is hard to tell as Jinjer has ties with Metalcore, groovy metal, djent and over the last 4 years or so progressive metal. Interesting to note the guys write the music and then Tatiana writes the lyrics. It is that process to the masterpiece from their last album in the mv for Wallflower. As for me my top 5 songs in no order are Outlander, Cloud Factory, No Hoard of Values, Home Back and Retrospection. Though honestly I just love all they have done. Having seen them live twice they are a great live band and such neat and friendly people.

Thanks for sharing your passion for Jinjer and appreciate your insights and recommendations. More to come.

Thank you for reacting to this, although there's no solo. Yes more Jinjer please! The guitar is so intricate that it's almost like a continuous solo (with lots of sick rhythm strumming). To me it's like a classical ensemble piece, with all the players contributing interlocking complexity and playing off each other. I think you'll love all the playthrough videos for all the members of Jinjer. They're all special players. Tatiana's voice is the fourth instrument in the band (yes, I even count drums as an instrument in Vlad's capable hands lol).

So glad you got around to them. They are so amazing live! You should definitely check out Pit of Consciousness Live in Kiev to get a sense for how they roll. Also Who is Gonna Be the One live is great too.

Who Is Gonna Be The One is my favorite and the official live is fire. The song is my favorite because the lyrics connect to my personal political journey but counterintuitively my favorite thing about it is the instrumental arrangement. Especially the kinda dueling interplay between guitar and bass. Cheers!

Welcome to the greatness that is Jinjer. You and I are around the same age. I found Jinjer in '18. Have seen them a couple of times so far. Fist saw and met them in '19. I gave Tatiana a Cookie Monster shirt. lol They are a rarity as they are better live. Check official live vids out. Buckel up! 🍻

Haha you're the Cookie Monster dude! That was a great idea! When I first saw that I wished I had thought of it. Did she wear the shirt that night? Did you get pictures? You rock man!

Yes, I got pics with the band. It was a meet & greet. She held the shirt up for the pics as I had my arm around her shoulders. She didn't wear the shirt that night. She wore a black jumpsuit. Cheers. 🍻@@ericpeterson7512

Yes. I like where you are going. Big Tool and Jinjer fan here. They have a few good live videos like "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiew, but I really like their well done music videos. Mediator and Vortex come to mind. Their style has changed quite a bit from the early days, but I like both ends of the timeline. A big part of the change in style is the current drummer Vlad who did most of the composing of the last album. Please keep going with Jinjer!

Jinjer - Captain clock and jinjer - sit stay rollover is pretty good for guitar playthrough reaction.....jinjer stuff is mostly about interwoven riffage instead of stricly solo sections.

That song is getting a lot of love for the guitar. Deservedly so!

They have a lot of guitar playthroughs for their songs. There is one for this song. Some other good ones that have playthroughs and videos are Captain Clock, Outlander, Words of Wisdom, Pit of Consciousness, Sit Stay Roll Over, A Plus or a Minus and Judgement and Punishment. Watching the playthrough and then the music video or live version can be an interesting insight into the song and the playing.

I also recommend then watching Roman’s play through of the guitar part - there is so much going on in the guitar that it cannot all be picked up in a reaction to the live video, and every instrumental part by this band is absolute fire. It could be a great opportunity for a double feature if that is something you’d consider doing!

I recommend "Who is Going to be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) as a good representation of the band's guitar playing strength. Good Reaction (Subbed)

This is one of my favorites too. The guitar tone is monstrous, especially at the beginning where he riffs on his own, with Eugene throwing bass fills in between. That's a pretty perfect distorted guitar tone IMO.

Total agreement. The guitar and bass work is so well composed and performed.

Cool reaction. Are you a guitarist? Jinjer has never been much for guitar solos, & that's even more true since their founding rhythm guitarist Dmytro Oksen left Roman as the sole remaining guitarist in 2015. Solos just aren't their style. Nevertheless, they're a great band for fans of creative, riff-laden, rhythmically complex metal guitar, so you'd probably enjoy some of Roman's guitar playthroughs. I Speak Astronomy is a good one for sure, & it's worth checking out the guitar playthrough even though you've already reacted to the OMV. Other excellent guitar playthroughs include Captain Clock, Sit Stay Roll Over, & A Plus Or A Minus. I enjoy double-features, so if you're interested in that, Captain Clock has an awesome live video from 2018's Resurrectionfest (sadly, the guitar mix is awful, but Tatiana's vocal & stage performance make up for it), Sit Stay Roll Over has a good OMV & Live in Melbourne, A Plus Or A Minus only has a lyric video as far as I know. Overall, they're an incredibly talented band with no bad songs...you'll get plenty more recommendations.

Yeah, Roman (guitar) does intricate guitar riffs and it's an experience to check out his playthroughs. As well as Eugene (bass), his playthroughs are also very spectacular.

I do play guitar. Thanks for the recommendations, looking forward to checking some of them out.

Yes the Jinjer playthrough videos are all spectacular. Not only Roman's guitar videos but also Eugene's bass vids and Vlad's drum vids. All are inspired, innovative, arguably revolutionary players. You can see their influences, but they transcend them into a genre all their own. I recommend doing a KZbin search for "Jinjer playthrough" and checking out everything that comes up. You might want to react to many of them. There's also a cover guitar video of "Top 10 Jinjer Riffs" that gives a good idea of the genius of Roman. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX3cpoKuYt16r5Isi=y72XEaqB5VBOBtar He's loaded with sick riffs and incredibly precise right hand work, even though he doesn't solo per se.
