GunSoap, I struggled with that myself, it’s a lot for a trigger pack and it also really increases the mp5’s appetite 😂 it only took 2 range trips to break the 1000 round count. Tons of fun though!

How reliable is that ptr? I hear not that good compared to a zenith. Wish I could afford the new hk one.

After the break-in period I would say pretty reliable. I have only had 2-3 Failures to eject and they were all during the first 250-300 rounds. I'm now easily at 2.5k~ rounds and it runs like a dream. I have heard nothing but great things about the Zenith's as well assuming you can find one at all or for a reasonable price. The new HK mp5 is a bit overpriced imo but i'm sure it's awesome. (haven't had the chance to see one/handle one yet)

I haven't had a hands on with one yet, but I was actually disappointed with their sp5k. (no paddle release really?). I think there are great clones on the market today : (PTR, Zenith, Dakota, soon to be PSA5, and various parts builds). I think they are charging too much for the mp5 honestly. However it is going to be from HK and not a clone, so if you absolutely have to have an HK mp5 there is no alternative aside from the spk5 or a parts build. If I was buying one again right now i'd still go with a Zenith or PTR unless I absolutely hated my wallet. Just my 2 cents though. I'm personally more excited to see how the PSA5 turns out atm. TLDR : Probably great if you have the money for it but there are cheaper alternatives that are basically the same thing.

Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah, sadly the UK is not nearly as gun friendly as the US. Although things are getting interesting in the US, the anti-gun movement is getting pretty serious over here lately it seems. You can always move here or vacation here though!

My original intention was to look for a Zenith or build an HK MP5 from parts but there was/is a major shortage of Zenith's and after checking out the PTR in comparison I noticed little difference and decided to just go with the PTR. I have not regretted it, definitely my favorite gun in the collection.
