I love how he is the real deal. And that that era of music is still relevant and younger generations are discovering this music every day and saying to themselves, why doesn’t new music sound as good as this. What happened. My own son says, I wish I had grown up in the 80s so I could have seen some of these guys in their prime. But everything is retro so we can all enjoy this music for a long time to come. We start our tour of the northeast in March 22 and I can’t wait to get back to it. It’s been hell sitting home.

I used to hold hands with him when we were in our teens!! 😊 Anyway, he was an amazing guitar player then, and I’m so proud to have been a part of the very very early days (1970’s) when he was first feeling it 💕 blessed to still be friends 50+ years later ✌🏼

My band was playing the same night as Gilby’s band at the Coconut Teaszer in the 90s and he was really cool. There was one moment that has stayed with me forever. Gilby was doing his soundcheck and the soundman asked him to turn the guitar down and Gilby said “that’s the funny thing about this amp. It doesn’t turn down”. 🤣 Now that I know he ran sound before GnR, I respect his response even more.

Really hit it on the head with the one original band member touring with the band's name, which someome 10 years ago asked me about what I thought about it with Foghat, who I saw as a kid in 79, Awesome show. I felt the negative side of the comment at that time and now I can completely understand the rational reason why an original member of a very successful band would do that. My eyes have been opened to a whole news perspective and I can appreciate that since I admitted I was around and old enough to see Foghat in 79...do the math. Thanks so much! Great interview.!

All playing around the south east at the same time. My band played in 4 different cities in a 5 week period that one of those bands were playing too. Axl should have kept (1) Cure me or Kill and (2) Tijuana Jail from Gilbey, (3) Beggars and Hangers On, (4) Neither Can I, (5) "Lower", (6) Back and Forth Again from Snakepit, and (7) Beleive in Me from Duff. GNR would have had half an album. Axl could have brought 5 or 6 songs to fill out the album.
