Can't understand why a man would stop playing with his little boy, grab a gun and chase another man in his truck and shot him dead. Our American society has serious flaws and even worse, some of us dare to say is within our right to take another man's life if we deem it necessary even dismissing any consequences.

I believe the video bears out the Doctor's hypothesis. If you focus on directionality of the smoke from the shotgun blasts, it shows that the first shot delivered was chest high as Ahmaud was confronted by Travis as he emerged from running around the truck. The smoke blast carries past the right side of the truck, but disperses fairly quickly. The second shot is just out of frame while Ahmaud, fighting for his life, and Travis, seeking vigilante justice, are grappling over the shotgun. The velocity and direction of the smoke from the blast seem to indicate it was unobstructed and right out of the barrel, which may lead one to think it could be when Ahmaud suffered the hand wound. The third and final shot, which was certainly the fatal one, was a contact wound with pellets exiting his back and damaging his internal organs, the results of which the video sadly shows. A citizen's arrest is only legal if the citizen witnessed a felony being committed. There was none. And self defense doesn't even enter into this. Dude! You're in a truck with your dad and you're both armed, against an unarmed jogger in shorts and t-shirt, carrying nothing, obviously not a burglar or thief just having pulled off some big heist, so, dude, just drive away! Smells of an ulterior motive.

When Arbery started around the opposite side of the truck, Travis was still at the driver's door to his truck, but instead of letting Ahmaud run on past, Travis stepped around the open door and moved to cut Ahmaud off when he passed the truck. Travis also raised his shotgun and took a firing stance. There is no way to know exactly what was said, but we can probably rule out "Stop! Thief!" We don't know what was going through Ahmaud's mind, but I imagine it was something like, "These motherfuckers are crazy! I'll just run on by and get away from these motherfuckers!" I don't think he expected Travis to confront him, but in that split second of looking down the barrel of that shotgun, faced with the choices of 1) Stopping and being shot, 2) Continue running and being shot in the back, or 3) Fight for his life, Ahmaud took the only chance he saw and charged those last couple of steps, probably hoping to wrestle the shotgun away from Travis. Travis' standing with his shotgun and his dad brandishing his pistol in the back of the truck, and with a white guy in the trailing vehicle, Ahmaud somehow felt he was boxed in and he couldn't retreat. Modern day lynching or vigilante justice gone horribly wrong? Travis called 911 a couple of times about break-ins at that house under construction and mentioned being spooked about a weapon when he saw the suspect putting his hand down his pants or in his pocket. NO WEAPON was ever actually seen, however. What? A black guy can't adjust his junk or use his pockets nowadays without white guys taking cover or white cops going all SWAT on his ass? Racism fucking sucks!

That was my argument as well. The Mcmichael argument have been to detain Arbery. So why was their rounds in the chamber, shotgun off safety, finger on the trigger. These are indications that the shotgun would be fire. If the shot gun was pointing at Arbery and Arbery was hit, that right there is intent. If the shotgun was on safety, and finger off the trigger there no way a struggle would cause the gun to shoot. Anyone who been trained in firearms can tell you that.

@@markstewart8241 Do you even understand how safety on a gun work? If the gun was on safety , it would not go off in a struggle. The gun safety was make to prevent that very thing from happen. The safety is never the trigger on a gun. Round in chamber, gun off safely, finger on trigger these are condition for intend to shoot a gun. Now there is discussion that in fact the shotgun was pointing at Arbery. All of these are conditions of intend to use the gun. Anyone who take a firearms handling lesson, ie.. police training or military, would be aware of this. In fact the first lesson is this very subject. But hey, base on your response, you are a want to be cowboy. Because any one who know firearms would not have a round in the chamber as accident can happen. Arbery took a hit in the chest. Tell how did that happen if Arbery finger was on the shotgun trigger. How then was Arbery able to grab the shotgun if Arbery finger was on the trigger? You every grab samething while having your hand at the most awkward position which won't give you the leverage to hold on. Why was there even a struggle. @@gladysblanco7135 - It makes no difference who went into the home. The homeowner had a big "No Trespassing" sign posted in front of the house. He didn't want anyone there (for very obvious and simple/ valid reasons). There is more to this story that most people know, because they haven't done their research. It has nothing whatsoever to do with racism and everything to do with Arbery's actions in the year before that fateful day. And on that fateful day, it was again Arbery's actions which got himself killed. He could have just kept walking or "jogging". Instead, he foolishly assaulted someone with a gun who was trying to talk to him and had committed no crime against him. The dumbest thing you (or anyone else) could do, is to assault someone with a gun (especially by grabbing the barrel of a long gun/ rifle, where you could be shot even unintentionally - if you can understand the basic mechanics of a rifle). Accidentally or not, I would have shot him also. Because had he got that gun, he would probably have shot Travis McMichael (or all of them). So in this case, TM had no choice in the matter.

Its plain these two men chased after Arbery with the intention of shooting him. The guy was wearing jogging shorts and a tee shirt. Where could he have hidden a gun?And Georgia law enforcement knows these two men and they tried to cover it up.And all this came about because Arbery was checking a house under construction? I also heard that the McMichael's were in the habit of pursuing people they did not know - in their area. They went looking for one guy, that they found, fishing, and practically accused him of being the thief, they demanded to know where he lived, and why he was there. The guy answered all their questions, Travis claimed he was polite, yet the second they left that guy to get back to his fishing, the called the police on him and called him a homeless guy living under a bridge??

Anytime some one mind fully grabs their gun in this case two people and two guns. Both jump in their vehicle and take chase after an unarmed person who is apparently running for his life being chased by two armed men. My question is what were their intentions? Were they going to talk to the guy, apprehend the guy, or plain shoot and kill him. It seems premeditated. Its sad the disregard for human lives. So the neighborhood has nosey snoops who probably wanted to see how a house is built and its progress. Nothing was missing nor taken in possession according to video cameras by any of the nosey snoops. Why didn't the two armed men chase the other people? Bad people should not own guns in this case two bad people. They weren't protecting their home the jogger didn't enter their house, the jogger didn't assault them with a gun. He didn't assault them or anyone in the neighborhood. Why did they kill him? Bad people owning guns. Simple they are cold blooded murders. Stay safe be ready. God bless the good and just.

Ahmaud changes course and runs to the other side of the truck. Travis leaves the safety of drives side and runs to the front of the truck to cut off Ahmaud . The first shot happen immediately as Ahmaud reaches that area. Ahmaud was defending himself from three men WHO HAD NO LEGAL AUTHORITY TO BRANDISH FIREARMS AT HIM. Ahmaud does not fit the description of anyone who committed a crime. He was not wanted. And at best only tresspassed Not a felony. Murder. Plead down to 2 degree murder.

Arbery didn't try to take the shotgun. When he and McMichael come out from behind the car, Arbery pushes the shotgun barrel away from himself, not trying to pull the shotgun out of McMichael's hands. The first hit couldn’t come to the right palm because at the end of the video, Arbery hits McMichael in the head with his right fist. He could hardly have struck with his hand if there had been a gunshot wound to his palm. Arbery was fighting for his life. I feel so sorry for him and his family.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed with the end result of this case. It basically comes down to Ahmaud attacked a man because he asked him a question. He made the decision to attack a man with a gun. Bad decision. Imagine if the white guy was a cop. That cop would be let off. It’s not gonna be any diff in this case. Arbery was asked a question he didn’t like. He attacked the guy asking the questions. Pretty cut and dry. The media is the one distorting the facts. He was 10 miles away from his home and was scoping out a place to burglarize NOT jogging like they’re telling you. Listen to the facts and think for yourself. If a man asked you a question and has a gun pointed at you would you run toward him and attack? If so, you’ll die.

Travis has been sentenced to life without parole which seems 100 percent correct to me. He is serving time at Hays State Prison in Georgia, a very dangerous prison as I understand it. I’m sure he is in protective custody there. I believe they should release him to the general population at the prison and let him take his chances.

You can clearly see the chest area covered in blood after the first shot at :23 seconds in the video. You can see the chest area fully blood soaked at the :30 second mark, after the second shot is fired. This could not have been caused by the second shot because at :27 seconds you can clearly see the muzzle blast mostly pass by which makes me believe the second shot hit the wrist or hand area.

BOTTOM LINE The MCMICHAELS HAD NO RIGHT TO USE EXCESSIVE FORCE OR CLAIM SELF DEFENSE. THEY WERE THE AGGRESSORS AND THEY ESCALATED the entire altercation. They didn't witness any crime. So it doesn't matter which shot was first. You can't approch or threaten someone with a gun. Especially if you're not law enforcement. Even then, police officers aren't allowed to use EXCESSIVE FORCE. AHMAD was fighting for his life he had no idea what these strangers intentions were ( kill, torture, ......)

When I was a 9 year old little girl my cousin, who was also 9, was murdered by his black step-father. A man who talked about how much he hated white people and who picked on my cousin because he was jealous everytime the kid's mother gave him any affection or attention. Well, he took care of the problem by snuffing him out. Then he claimed incompetence and served no time in prison. You know what makes me sick? People like you who think yours is the only point of view. And only your experiences could be real. Because you didn't hear about my cousin being brutally murdered by a black man in your mind it couldn't have possibly happened. Well, I'm here to tell you to go eat a colossal bag of dicks lady. I am so f*cking sick of people like you who put trash on a pedestal and call it a King or a Queen. It's why you can't get out of last place. We all have eyes and ears and no matter how much you jump up and down and tell us you're royalty, we only see a pile of 💩covered in flies. And don't get it twisted. It's not the skin color at all.
