One of my personal favorites. Poke is one of the better minor characters to appear in OTR Gunsmoke. The simple themes of the dangers of being a jackass, and why establishing law in the wild west was so important - good stuff.

Well, that was a most disturbing episode ... a story of a bad situation that just keeps getting worse and worse, generating a sense of inescapable hopelessness. Very dark, very depressing.

I admit, I half expected this episode to refer to the type you smoke (reefer? Pun unintended).
