just a small tip, in Chinese culture your not really supposed to say thank you after a compliment cause it seems prideful to receive a compliment too quickly, the normal way to respond is to deny the compliment, its a very strange concept for us americans😂
@cubecomber91623 жыл бұрын
@@hannahwalmer1124 id say its less common, those phrases are said, but to most people it would sound like you dont like getting complimented, which to some people is a little rude

What if you say both?.. Thank you, you are too kind..

@@arlandmv4053 You can respond with whatever you want, i think to them it just sounds more forgeiner like. the usual response is to just say that your not that good, "没有" méiyou (not that good) "还好吧" háihăoba (still ok I guess), "哪里" náli (where?) are some common ones

love what you're doing. Obviously a bit of inspiration from the late & great moses and others. Keep pushing your familiarity with the languages to your limits! Your spanish obviously impresses the hell out of people, and it would be great to maintain as much of that quality in each language you pursue! Also as the borders get better in the next year, maybe more deep-dives into cultures along with the languages? Cheers for the content so far!

I just found your channel because I've been learning Spanish on my own for over a year. I feel REALLY confident in my vocabulary now and my GENERAL grammatical understanding. I know that I really need to just start speaking the language. I feel like you're helping me find the confidence! What's more is that I thought to myself recently that if I start to master Spanish I would try Arabic next, as Spanish has some phonates/borrowed words. So cool, keep up the good work. You inspire us language learners to keep going!

What I have learned, about speaking non-Native languages, is that most people take that as a sign of respect. I have been studying on a very basic level the Tamil language. The corner store ,I go to every morning, the clerk speaks the Tamil language. So, one day I asked him, what is his native language. He writes down Tamil! I have never heard of this language, even though, too

Beautiful :) just a tip of you wanna get better at Arabic in the future. I'm the word for friend, sadiqi, there's a ق letter instead of the k. It's produced differently from the top-back of the mouth, with your tongue reaching back to the uvula before the sound comes out. Takes practice from non-native speakers. Also in a phrase like Salam 'alaikum, there's the letter ع at the beginning of 'alaikum. There's not even an English sound I can compare it to but that it probably the sound that gives people the most trouble and takes even more practice lol. I love videos like these
