In Suriname we call it dosi, we shape it as a rectangular patty and it's mostly made by the people of District Para where the airport is located. I always say we have more in common than divides us in that region. I'll try this variant, thanks for sharing!

I also grew up in Berbice. Every Friday, a lady would be walking around in our village, carrying a basket of quenches on her head to sell it to her customers, who impatiently waited while salivating. 🤗

Maybe you overcooked it. It doesnt have to get super brown. Also make sure the heat isnt too low or too high
