this is such a confusing encounter to view because in the beginning i honestly see trisha's point, she asked a harmless question and her life (along with others) are consistently spoken about on the H3 podcast with or without their permission, but then the continuous low blows and bringing the kids into is is almost ubearable to watch. ethan's patience realizing she is having a mental health struggle is admirable
@ulybuly
@ulybuly 8 ай бұрын
yeahhh the low blows did cross a line obviously but Ethan also kept provoking her by asking for her opinions and then getting upset when she states them, and also kept gaslighting her especially when Moses came back, telling him she was saying all kinds of stuff about the family when she literally never did, and was just asking to have Hila on the show for a bit. Trisha obviously lost control a bit but I can’t even blame her, I would’ve too.
@charlotte9059
@charlotte9059 7 ай бұрын
@@ulybulyidk i get why ethan kept pressing, he was confused and probably blindsided by her insane reaction and comments and didn’t feel peace or felt like he understood her, or even wanted to keep hashing out until he felt he got his whole side out. If i was in his position she would be in a much worse place. He could’ve schooled her about 30 different times or more (i had to stop counting), but he kept it civil… she did not. I find myself often continuing asking questions around arguments if i still don’t truly understand why someone is acting the way they did. I believe that reaction is much better than getting severely mad at the tiniest things and calling someone a cunt & a bitch bc of a simple request.

Yeah she has a point but so does Ethan and hila she consistently says hila doesn’t like her when clearly she has no problems with her and she can’t really defend herself and I don’t think Trisha ever told them to stop talking about her but if she did there in the wrong
@donjab218
@donjab218 3 ай бұрын
@@Alex-fb4tl she asked Ethan sereval times in other episodes to not talk about specific topics or to stop asking. She said multiple times when she didn't want to continue a conversation, but Ethan just kept on digging. I 100% get her point. When she asks Ethan not to talk about something, he doesn't respect that and walks all over her, yet when Hila asks not to be talked about, Ethan stops Trisha as soon as she even mentions her. Also Trisha's first mentioning of Hila was absolutely neutral, even wanted to invite her on the podcast. Trisha already said on other episodes that she wishes her and Hila could talk it out on Frienemies, so that the audience could also see that there is no bad blood. Trisha is so obviously self-concious and unsure about their relationship, but she was just looking for a resolution, while Ethan and Hila pushed her concerns to the side, not wanting to adress it. When you ask for help and affirmation ( especially from people you are not sure about if they like you or not) over and over again and your questions aren't heard and your concerns are ignored, you do not feel seen. It makes you feel helpless and it fucking hurts. People with mental health issues oftentimes overreact as a result of such treatment, because they feel like they are not being taken seriously when they're communicating in a calm way. I can really feel her pain in this situation, I used to react like that as well. It takes so much work and acknowledgement of your own self-worth. If you know someone that has such defense mechanisms, what they need is not a lecture about how to behave, they are not anywhere near that point yet. They need to know that they are being seen and heard. They need a lot of patience and love to even get to the point where they feel safe enough to communicate their problems. Sorry for the rant, but I see so few people that actually get where Trisha is coming from and seeing her break down like this really hits close to the part in me that had to go through those same interactions.

After this fight where Trisha attacked Ethans WIFE ruthlessly, his parenting style, AND his extended family I'd never talk to her ever again. They're LUCKY he gave them another chance after this. ALSO continuously claiming they're the reason why H3 has so many views now is priceless. Frenemies worked because of the chemistry between BOTH Trisha and Ethan and their back and forward banter. And this podcast is the only reason why Trisha's been relevant recently in a positive way, without it Trisha would unfortunately only be looked at as the manic person who screams at their camera about the personal drama that (unfortunately) no one would believe. Ethan gave Trisha credibility and a platform to speak their truth and actually be listened to.

Trisha's triggered in this because Ethan didn't hold Hila to the same standard that Trisha was held to (Ethan and Hila talked about Trisha but Ethan and Trisha couldn't talk about Hila). Trisha is being gaslit and this would trigger anyone. Ethan appeared calm because he was responding slowly and vaguely. He was avoiding her points and saying she's "having an issue" instead of responding honestly.

@@aidangriffin27seriously. Imagine being Trisha and being the butt of every single joke, having every facet of your personal life smeared over every conversation and being laughed at by everyone in the room which she obviously invites and enjoys to an extent, butttt the moment when she tries to talk about Ethan and his relationships he says she shouldn’t talk about that. I’d be embarrassed in a frustrated way too cause why would you embarrass me like that and make me look like that This podcast was never meant to work Trisha is completely out there and Ethan is very private about his personal life.

You clearly dont even understand what gaslighting means. That isn't gaslighting. In order for someone to be gaslighting they need to do it over a long period of time, it's a calculated psychological attack meant to make the person question themselves and reality. All Ethan did was remember wrong, he wasn't being malicious, his memory just sucks ass and he needs to listen better. Calling this gaslighting is just laughable. Gaslighting is much more malicious than this.@@aaronfelcity1403

So I just started watching these series and I love H3, I can’t believe I’m going to say this but Trisha kind of has a point. Why is all her private and family life a conversation topic and Ethan and Hila’s lives are forbidden to talk about? I’m genuinely curious is there a reason for it? I didn’t watch all the episodes so maybe I missed something?

no you’re absolutely right, also trisha has said time and time again that she doesn’t consider Ethan a “friend” since he doesn’t hit her up unless it’s for the podcast… and he barely says anything to reject this claim… so which goes to show that if there’s an issue neither hila or ethan comes to her to tell it, making her completely blindsided and feeling like those comments saying Hila hates her are true… m

I know she went too far afterwards but one thing i agree with Trisha is that, Ethan brought up Hila first when Trisha didn't even mention any family situation and just said they should bring her as a guest that he said "don't talk about hila". I get why she was taken aback and clearly hurt by that, they should have brought that up and warned her before doing the show.

Yeah, Ethan shut it down way too harshly and abruptly. I was super close with someone with BPD for years until we had to split because it got too toxic. I learned how to read her and be able to detect "off" days. i could see Trisha already feeling extra sensitive to little things, and she was already headed towards a moment, but was under control. The way Ethan shut it down would be like whiplash to anyone ("let's have her as a guest" "no, also cut this segment"), but while most would move on, or talk about it privately, Trisha lost all control.
