There was some info about carbonation affecting tooth enamel... but I don't know what the actual consensus is, or if it really matters too much. If it does matter, then a way to combat it is to not sip throughout the day, but rather drink a lot in one go, and then stop, so the teeth aren't constantly coated in acid. Then saliva can help combat it, and also it's good to swish regular water after acidic stuff (and not brush one's teeth right after acidic stuff). Dr Idz probably drinks non-carbonated beverages for a semi-justified reason, and he suggested a straw for carbonated stuff (less contact with teeth that way). Other than that, it seems totally fine. Other than artificial sweeteners seemingly increasing general inflammation, which can then affect mood and stuff (not ideal for depression for example), but like, everything does that... can hardly escape inflammation causing stuff. Compared to sugar drinks! sugar is way worse in that regard anyway.
@darkfox2401 Жыл бұрын
Artificial sweetener signals the brain to release insulin because of the sweet taste but there is no sugar.This Causes Low blood sugar making you hungry. To people who are skeptical about the diet soda argument (from someone who doesn’t drink soda but has anorexia lol) the best point he made is that going from full sugar to water is less healthy than just switching to the diet version. When you do such a drastic change like that, you will get INTENSE cravings because your body is not adjusted to it. If you want to fully get off of sugary drinks or sodas, you have to do it gradually/slowly. Because all that will happen is that you will be overcome by the cravings and will instead find another source of sugar to over compensate and even go overboard with that lack of sugary item you’ve completely stopped intaking - which will then cause weight gain.

I really enjoyed the talk with Dr Idz Joins. I found the conversation to be very interesting as well as educational! Hopefully, the podcast can have guests like Dr Idz on the future.

Dr idz segment was great. I loved the second call. I was barely engaged in the diet coke discussion originally, but it ended up being extremely entertaining and stimulating. I'd love to see the debate hosted with h3h3 and I'm so glad Ethan kept pushing it. Dr idz gained a fan in me

What theatrical performance! We forgave, fought, apologized, laughed, debated, made enemies, and forgave once again. Also I'm very excited for the hell hole but a masterpiece that is Frenemies : Grandpa Edition
