the pattern of male youtubers attacking hila and calling her ugly whenever they want to hurt ethan just stems from the fact that they're the type of dudes that get insecure and reconsider their relationships if other men don't find their girlfriend attractive. a lot of these "alpha male" frat bro types choose their partners based on the validation they'll get from other men and not on actual chemistry.

Ethan is beyond patient when it comes to the abuse thrown his way. It's one thing to be harassed and bullied online, but its another when that harassment is based on hurtful racial stereotypes. Because then you are being attacked for something you are born with and can't control. The rhetoric is backed by decades of hated and toxicity. The fact that Ethan is so "chill" about edgy jokes, but then is made to feel bad when he is eventually hurt emotionally - is pretty disgusting to be quite honest. Also context does matter. It's not like a stand-up comic was taking a crack at jewish people, but doesn't mean it maliciously. Yeah that CAN be offensive to some people. But comedians like Ethan get that humor and can roll with it. That isn't what this was. This was literally someone calling him a greedy *** and being serious about the insult. Not only that, he insulted Ethan's wife in the most despicable way. Come on. If anything Ethan is a saint, and has more patience then most people.

As a Jewish girl who grew up in a blue collar town, I had people throw pennies at me and tell me to pick it up while calling me the K word or something similar, same thing that Jason Nash went through. My dad is a very successful surgeon, who is by far the most charitable person in our town. My dad worked very hard for his success, and to the people I grew up with his success equaled being a “greedy jew” and by proxy me as well. This man did more pro-bono cases than anyone of his peers, donates a huge chunk of money to over 15 charities a year, and I grew up volunteering and giving back as well. It really hurt me growing up, and then I went to college and met a ton of other jewish people who came from similar backgrounds and were loving and accepting. I realized if anyone had a chip on their shoulder regarding their socio-economic class it is much easier to spew anti-Semitic bullshit. I don’t think you guys should HAVE to take “jew jokes”. You are very generous and anyone who follows how much you donate knows that. Imagine spewing hate speech because of how someone WAS BORN. My grandparents were Jewish and fought against the nazis, that is how they paid for their schooling to become doctors. It is really sad there isn’t more people standing up when people like that say CLEARL anti-Semitic things. If this was about race would this be ok? No. So what is the difference? No hate speech should be ok. Sure you can say it but I’d like to see more people upset at people like that. If he is so casually anti-Semitic I can guarantee you he is most likely also racist and homophobic. Because anyone who judges ONE by who they are when born judges MANY. Fuck that guy. Good for you guys for saying something.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I guess it's because I'm just baffled that that kind of blatant IRL antisemitism existed past the late 90s. It's bad enough the edgy 4chan kind still fits snuggly in 2021. I don't want to make a hierarchy out of it because it's wrong to do so, but there is an insidious element to antisemitism that garden variety R-ism doesn't have. While there are ardent bigots in both instances, there is a subtle justification for overlooking antisemitism when Jewish people are somehow "successful", as though it "balances out" or something, which is also kind of ironic because the same people convince themselves that it's due to being sneaky, greedy, and the result of ill-gotten gains. It's just like the N*zis who expressed that Jewish people were somehow an inferior subhuman group of people, but had to be stopped at all costs due to their prominence and powerful influence - the cognitive dissonance is real. People also act like most Jewish people are "white passing" but what about the ones who are highly Orthodox in clearly identifiable religious garb? People act like it's a choice and that they could blend in if they wanted to, but they would never say the same thing to other religious groups in their respective dress who are "darker". Notwithstanding the fact that there are Jewish people who are as dark as they come.

Maybe try a squatty potty for Theodore? Sounds like he hasn't learned how to not squat yet and it's backing him up. A stool softener may help as well but I'm not a doctor As someone who has potty trained 3 kids all I can say is my boy was hard. The girls didn't have any interest until they were a few months older than 3. But that boy threw me through a loop. Thankfully my father in law was able to take him for a week to really focus on just getting him potty trained. He had a few bedtime accidents when he came home but once he got it down he was good to go!

For Theodore I’d recommend children’s fiber gummies. It’s a daily supplement instead of a laxative that might make the process of actually going to the bathroom easier on him. Also, I know this is gonna sound strange, but try playing Hide & Seek with him. I swear that game has this odd power of making the hiders always have to shit their pants.

@reticent e ville If fiber is not resolving your poop issues then see a fucking doctor. Don't blame fiber lol.
@celedhion3 жыл бұрын
@reticent e ville there are many different forms of fiber as well. Some fiber supplements have the bare minimum of dietary fiber, but I personally recommend ones that have dietary + soluble fiber. When the supplements only have dietary, they tend to not help me at all either. There’s also fiber that uses psyllium husk as the primary ingredient, which works completely different to soluble or dietary fiber. Pay close attention to the active ingredients and nutrition facts in finding whst works for you

God, y’all talking about anti-Semitism in Texas AND your experience with lexapro really hit home for me. My grandpa is a Mexican-Texan who doesn’t believe the Holocaust happened.. he was indoctrinated by some random fck in a Luby’s. (I don’t talk to him for my peace of mind) And both of you mentioning having high anxiety and cycling thoughts, my god my life was ruled by the same anxiety before I started lexapro. I didn’t fully realize how much my anxiety ruled my mind until after being on lex awhile. It truly helped me enjoy living again, and feel safe in my own head. Lex doesn’t work for everyone, but there will always be something out there that does work!! I lowered my dose lately, but seeing as I’m about to get certified as teacher in Texas..... I’ll definitely... need to raise it again I think...... So much peace and love to y’all, thank you for the perfect balance of vulnerability and humor, it means the world.

Okay so as a man I know that some men(insecure men) only date women that they think their "peers" or other men will find attractive. They do this simply for trophy. Holding up something shiny and saying "look what I have that you dont have" and it gives them this feeling of achievement. Some guys get lucky(like myself) and get an absolute 10 beautiful woman with a kick ass personality that lured me in. But some guys just got good looking girls but no person inside the body and their fine with that. So those type of guys will judge other men based on how their woman looks. And if she doesnt look to their standard, they think lower of said man (ethan)

The part with the teacher trying to make a book ‚opposing the Holocaust‘ mandatory is so fucking outrageous to me. I grew up in Germany, and within our school system there are a lot of optional subjects which you can choose to not take anymore the closer you get to graduating, however, history is always and without question mandatory because we HAVE TO learn about our horrible horrible history (even though nowadays students obviously don’t have anything to do with it anymore). The German government wants to actively prevent something similar happening again, so they do what I consider best and that is to freaking educate!! How on earth can it be obligatory here whereas in Texas they try to water the whole thing down, like what??? Water down the Holocaust?? Sorry, but I won’t ever even want to try to understand that. Ethan and Hila! I have a daughter, exactly the same age as Theodore. She was struggling with the same issue! We tried laxatives (amongst other things) and trust me, it's best you find the healthiest and most sensible option, like we did. As like my girl, you will need something daily for awhile. I started adding *Tropicana Essentials* to her juice (it has *FIBER* alongside the container) and she can now go TWICE a day, versus the time where she was only going once every few days. It scared the SHIT out of me when she was so constipated; it affects sleep, their attitude, EVERYTHING. You definitely should give it a try, as you will likely need to use something that assists him in going and daily, like my boo did. Also, just a side note: Please do not give thou who shall not be named, #2 (rhymes with reemCAR) the honor of delving into HIS bullsh*t. Much like what he tried to do with Def Noodles, lately, he feeds on the drama. It's time we starve him OUT of existence and into obscurity! Peace and love!

Great comment. Laxatives work in a pinch but an cause a dependency and will make it harder to go when your off them. Fibre is the key.

Almost every kid struggles more with doing #2. It’s not as easy as #1. Boys also usually take a little longer , on average, to potty train. I would just allow diapers until he’s ready. Eventually he will go. Parents are pressured to have kids do things at a certain time. But I digress. Every kid is different, if it’s just fear of the potty I would allow diapers.

@daisybelle23363 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes, that is exactly why we chose not use the laxatives long term. The fiber juice has worked wonders and it's not even an issue, anymore. When Ethan said, "prune juice" I laughed. Children have sensitive pallets and it may be a challenge to get them to drink prune juice-Hence Tropicana's Fiber juice, it's actually really good and I drink it as well. Hearing Ethan describe the ER trip gave me flashbacks and I could feel his pain, as it was a struggle for awhile and I dealt with with the same episodes. I really hope they see this and give it a try! It's a lifesaver for a child struggling with constipation.
@daisybelle23363 жыл бұрын
@PJ Q Oh, no. What I am talking about is not potty training related. I am talking about the more chronic constipation. Not going for days is NOT normal and does not pertain to potty training habits. I believe it's what Ethan is talking about as well. I mean no offense and apologize if my comments appears as if I am coming at you, I am not. I am just differentiating the two issues. I see they are struggling with both, however, my daughter struggled with really chronic constipation and her stool was hard, clay-like, pellets. This was an issue for awhile, until I incorporated the fiber juice into her daily juices. Chronic constipation is awful, I have struggled with it for years myself. TMI, I know. It's just what I am referencing above. Peace and love! Peace and lOooove.
