I actually agree with Ethan that kids shouldn't have to work 30-40 hour weeks in high school. Willingly working part time for extra cash is one thing, especially if you want fancy, expensive shit. But home work and sleep, even socializing and fun should come before work, and that's all basically a full time job right there. The whole entire rest of your life is work, bills and obligations. I worked hard to get on honour roll and be involved in school activities, but felt tired all the time like it was hard to socialize. I had to work though because my parents pressured me to get a job. It sucks, but it’s the unfortunate reality for many :(

To the girl looking for dating advice, I think I see the problem ahahaha I obviously don't know her at all but by the sounds of it, she wants somebody who validates her confidence. She mentioned wanting somebody who asks her questions and listens to her, but maybe she comes across as self absorbed. Confidence is great, but being overly confident and loud can make you seem conceited. You should want to listen to a person you're on a date with and learn about them, not just talk about yourself the whole time. Maybe she is too focused on showcasing her own personality and flaunting her own traits, without listening or asking about the person in front of her. Like her MAIN red flag was about them not asking her enough questions. That isn't really too major in my opinion. Getting to know another person shouldn't be one sided.

I was 16 working 30 hours during the week, I brought my work uniform to school, changed in the bathroom and head to work right after school so I could make it on time. I would be home by 10pm and do my homework during my break time at work or when I eventually got home. And I worked 6 hours on Saturday and Sundays which was my most hours accumulated. All to afford clothes, books, lunch money and even paid for my own glasses and necessities of that sort myself. Now, I have two kids and will do everything in my power for them NOT to have to work at a job during the school year. You do what you gotta do.
