Great video. Good that you responded to chat here. 👍 Mine is H96Max v11. After using >1 year, it recently auto rebooted by itself , ie when i used the remote to turn it on, it started with the Android logo. But now the red light on the box will not turn blue & tv has no image. Changed power socket & hdmi port, results were the same, has red light & tv has no image. Please help. Thanks

hi singkoi, I'm sorry u r having problems with ur box, that's a tough one, I haven't seen that problem. the 1st step I wud do is ensure remote control is working, u can test it pointing to the mobile phone camera, u should see red dot. most likely it isn't the issue though. the hdmi won't affect the power of the box.ithink the issue is with the power circuit, possibly some transistors got busted. The only thing I can think of now, is try to boot the box in maintenance mode if at all possible , u can search for videos about that. I'm sorry I don't have a magic trick for u... it's time u buy a new 4 or 8K box, they are much cheaper now, some come with 8GB ram too.. cheers

I had same problem i.e red light not going blue needed to reset with a pin, even that stopped working. My solution was to change the power supply to a PSP official Sony one. Problem gone.

I had the same identical situation h96 max living room box no problem bedroom box after a few hours it would reboot and became very hot I'm pretty sure a hard boot would not help this issue I thought it was a bad chip or cpu Thanks again

I have the very same problem, I did all as instructed, still restarting, done firmware restore 3x, but nothing... I guess is more of a hardware issue with mine.

Is the problem overheating? My X96 Max Plus rebooting randomly especially when when stressed much, or simply randomly.

yes, most likely its overheating, some boxes unfortunately dont include heat sink for the CPU. try to download the CPU Float app, monitor the COU temp, then run the box with the cover removed for a while and see if there is a difference.

I have the same issue with the one I recently bought. What is strange is that the one I bought a couple of years ago that I still use has never restarted. The only differencesbetween them is the newer one has 64gb storage and the older one is 32gb. Also the newer 1 is Android 11.0 & the older one is Android 9. So I don't get why it does it. I have done all the steps suggested and this one still reboots at least once a week now. It had gone a couple of months without doing it.

the problem is not related to Android version nor ROM or RAM size. It is a direct result of box vent design and whether CPU has proper heat sink to keep it from heating up. I'm glad the problem was fixed or gone for you 😊 thanx for sharing.

@@ibrahimbader I have a problem where the tv box keeps rebooting in a loop. It doesn't startup at all. It gives optimizing the apps 0-13 and when it's 13 out of 13 it restarts and do the same thing again and again in a loop. I Tried multiple roms but nothing changes, it does the same thing. I do believe it's a hardware problem but i don't know what it may be. Please Help

Hi I have a couple different android boxes, one being the H96. My problem is they work on every tv in the house except for my new LG tv, when I try to use on the new tv it restarts non stop but, if I put on any of my other tv's 2 of which are also LG the android boxes work fine????? Any idea what is going on?

hmm... that sounds strange & interesting 🤔 i do have an LG smart tv, i used to use the h96max without a problem. Currently im using x88pro20. did u try to switch to a different HDMI port on the LG tv? thats all i could think of. In any case, i also suggest u download the "cpu float" app and monitor if the cpu temp is affected when connected to LG. 🤔🙄

I have the same problem , I got a new tv box and it keeps restarting or rebooting by itself when I watch a movie , when it finish restarting , I go check and it’s no hot I don’t why it happening , can anyone tell me what is the problem

The video suggest how to resolve the problem. the box itself doesnt get hot, the problem, in most cases, is with the CPU getting hot & cause the restart. Did you try removing the box casing and running it..? Did u download the CPU Float app to monitor the CPU temp?

Many thanks for making this video, I had the same problem with a T95 Android box, thanks to your work I found the ventilation slots in the bottom were not open all the way through, installing the CPU hover software as recommended highlighted the transient CPU temperature rise leading to a reboot, you need to set the Android permissions to allow it to hover over a running application. The ventilation slots in the case bottom are obstructed by louvers rubbing away the flimsy plastic louvers to allow air circulation and standing the box on its side has over come the transient high temperature rise above 65 degrees and no more rebooting. I also followed the advice from this other KZbin video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2jLkGuJhad-fKs) for turning OFF unwanted Android features that are irrelevant for a media player application but part of the Android operating system intended for tablets and mobile phone service. The trick to get the "developer options" menu option to appear in the Android settings is interesting. Turning OFF a lot of features like location and setting the maximum number of running processes and ensuring that applications stop running when closed helps in reducing CPU load.

hi Frank, glad this helped, yes, the software needs that setting enabled. u r right about the Developer's options, there r many videos covering that in details, unfortunately some u cannot avoid some unnecessary apps in Android, and what's worst, when u exit an app, it doesnt necessarily shuts down completely, i resorted to installing an app to kill those still running in background (u can install an app to monitor actual available memory) from time to time i turn off the box and start it up, thank you 😊

you need to add a google acct in order for Play Store to work, there are other stores to download apps, such as APKPURE and others

@@deonpillay1281 what app r u using? did u try kodi or tea tv? does it happen when u play KZbin videos or movies on websites? is there a "sound" menu under Device Preferences? if there is, try disabling "system sound" or other sound settings and see if any solves the problem.
