Come on Muta, this is not how you do a tutorial on hacking the Vita. You need to at least use Notepad, a Windows XP background and slowly type "Hello guz...guys, ... to.. today I am show you how to hack u r Vita". This video was also not recorded with an unregistered hypercam 2, so that's another point off. Lastly - the background music on this video. Just an awful choice - you should at least be blaring "let the bodies hit the floor" (or Sound System Dreamscape as an alternative), and turn down your mic, just so that people can barely make out the muffled voice. Then, and only then, have you done a proper tutorial on hacking the PS Vita.

Brings back memories Anyone else remember? I had the very first PSP that came out and the only way to put custom firmware on it was to open the battery, remove a pin and then load up the file that you transferred from your computer.

not true, if you had fw 2.00 you could use the tiff exploit do downgrade to 1.50 and use devhook to emulate higher custom firmwares

Dude! I'm liking this new style man. Cool stuff. I totally like the 'modding with Muta' idea. Were you thinking of just hacking stuff or were you planning on getting into physically modding systems and handhelds? That would be awesome to see. I know its harder to do with newer things, but systems like psx and nes would be easy enough. Messed around with a few things myself... Switched the blister buttons in atari controllers for clicky buttons, changed and added new leds to a couple nes, bridged the pins in a psx for that swap mod, stuff like that would be cool. Hey...think you could mod one of those old Tiger handhelds to play GB games? Y'know, change the display and stuff? Anyways, cool video dude.

I do really regret updating my Vita but i’ve gotten a lot more use with it updated than without, and I do still have my Vita Tv on 3.60 (woooo.) I’m really tempted to pick up a 3.60 motherboard off ebay or the full thing but man I’m on the fence about it. Great video!

I bought my Vita 2/3 years ago when 3.50 was a thing, I saw the hell of 3.52, and the uncertainty of 3.60 before HENkaku, but when HENkaku released I was on board as an early adopter, and I have to say they improved a lot it was definately not all built in a day the Homebrew library for 3.60 spans years of developement, and testing... I'm happy I got in early too cause while they're gonna get a HEN for 3.68, 3.60 has been my golden version for ages now, I love it, and I've made memmories with it something I have to thank my patience on cause without that I'd be waiting on 3.68 with nothing to do, but beat Borderlands 2 again, or stream my PS4 games to it.

The Vita is also my favorite portable. Got it hacked a couple months ago. I've never been so glad to hold onto a device that's been dead to the public for such a long time. All the times I tried to sell it but never did, and one day I go to charge it up and see that it has the hackable 3.60 firmware... What a glorious day it was! Spent all day with it like I was 17 again with a PSP. I have kids that ask me if they can play on it. Instead of me calmly saying "No," I growl and snarl at them, followed by laser beams shooting from my eyeballs. Probably not normal dad behavior... but can ya blame me? If it breaks, then that's it! Game over for real.

Jo Mutahar great video man :) Sadly I already updated my Vita to 3.65 :/ But the new method for the FWs 3.65-3.68 luckily came out today but the procedure is really complicated... well more like it's kinda vague with most of its descriptions xD Could you please do like a little tutorial on how to hack a Vita this way? You wouldn't have to do it from the ground up, since there's already a "12 step tutorial" but moreso elaborate on each aspect of the several steps (the ones that need elaboration like the several tools one has to use etc.) I'm coming directly to you with this because one hand no one has tutorials out for it as of right now and on the other hand you are like one of the most reliable and transparent youtubers when it comes to tech stuff like this :) coming from an soon-to-be bachelor of science in IT xD

Reminder that there is an exploit for some later firmware versions that is going to release at the end of this year/early next year, making hacking the Vita possible if you have firmware beyond 3.60. I believe that enso will only work with 3.65 firmware though, and anything past that point will use the temporary henkaku.

As of right now, TheFlow is planning on releasing henkaku on the newest firmwares of the vita at early 2019 so that userbase is slowly going to increase after its release (which is great since i would love to play multiplayer vita quake again).

Hey! you forgot about the pstv! You can order a pstv on amazon that is new and totally hackable! they have instructions for it on the same henkaku site. I think the pstv is the superior hacking device for vita since you can connect a ps3/ps4 controller to it and add a thumb drive. I have a 128 connected to mines. Sure you lose a few games with the touch screen but i think the games you can play are way worth it!

The only system I want to hack eventually is the 3ds. Just cause I want to be able to play imports. The thing is I have no clue what to do, so that might take some time. But tbh despite the 3ds' success, I still prefer the vita just cause the games that come to it from time to time arent shovelware like on the 3ds.

I think you should do a video on modded Wii's. Super easy to mod, and you can get a crap ton of emulators, get Wii Shop Channel games completely free. (With a modded IOS 80, you can launch them from an SD. Use Modmii for getting it.) AND you can use USB Loader GX and play disc games off of a USB stick. A modded Wii is an absolute joy. I know you already have a modded PS3, but I think a modded Wii is still something worthy of a video.

For those of you who want a 3.60 psvita just hit up Ebay and look up 3.60 vita. I got mine for about $150. There is indeed a jailbreak being worked on for later firmware versions.

couple things, ebay is a wonder with finding hacked/ready to hack vitas. and 2 there is an adapter that you can get that allows you to use microsd's thru the gaming slot and is SOOOO much better then using the psvita crapware cards

if you want more space, but not sacrifice your wallet, then I would suggest investing into SD2Vita after installing Enso, the adapters usually go for up to $10 USD, and there's guides out there that can easily help get it running. Just to warn you that SD2Vita only supports up to 256GB if you format the SD card correctly.

My Vita is still on 3.0...when I last checked out hacks, 3.6 hadn't even been released yet. I guess Ineed to update it to 3.6 to do anything with it...which is really fucking strange, because I remember keeping my PSP at 1.5 for a really long time.

Not only can you hack the vita, but you can also hack the PSP emulator that is built in to the vita. You can get your vPSP running a CFW.

Do the PSP next, it is SOOOO simple, you literally just put the custom firmware app on your memory card in the proper folder and run it, it doesn't get much simpler than that :D
