Director of Photography, drone pilot, editor, equipment operator, mother, wife, Queen of the home, supporter, and the one who laughs at your dad jokes... . -- Tim, you have truly achieved what all men want for their lives. Blessings upon you and your family for continued happiness, a long and prosperous life, and many years more of true partnership with Christie. - Side note -- I have been in the trades my whole adult life, and have a nice side hustle with my 1025r tractor and equipment. Your channel and what you share has been a big part of that. Also, as a full-time professional sound mixer for TV and Film, your dedication to getting good audio to go with your great camera work is ABSOLUTELY key to the success of TTWT. Keep up the great work. It DOES make a difference.

Very nice. I asked Christy if she paid you for this comment :-). Seriously, Christy is of course amazing. What we DIDN'T admit in the video is that I backed the tractor over the expensive Drone near the end of the video. Let's just say that the drone doesn't "compress" very well. ...even then, after about 30 seconds of "I can't believe you didn't see that", Christy was back to her normal upbeat helpful approach. Thankfully, it is only money!

Even though you guys were "taking it easy" on the Equipment, it was kind of "Torture " for the Equipment. That " twist-o-flexing" & "tight-turning" over rough terrain was a"Brutal" Operation. Good thing you weren't going 90mph when the "Blow-OUT" happened. The only "good-things" about Fire-wooding is ,running the Equipment, Cleaning up the "Bad Trees, fresh Air, & the "Comradary". The "Fuel Component " is REALLY Neglectable. Thank you Sir's & Mam's for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours. The world would be a better place if everyone helped their neighbor. For some reason if something is going to break it'll be while helping someone else. You got out of this one cheap. I don't know how I survived without a grapple bucket but the right size tractor is the key. I don't have a grapple on the larger tractor but for my needs a Kubota B Series was perfect. The older I get the more I appreciate equipment. God bless Y'all. I could tell at the end that ole boy really likes you guys. To that I say well done, I think the Lord would approve also.

I rolled my tire off my rim just a couple of hours of watching this video. Could not get it to set while on the rim and took it to the local tire shop. I can relate to your tire issue. I was breaking down a huge pile to burn (we are limited here to how big the burn pile can be without jumping through many hoops) during hurricane cleanup. I heard a loud pop at the left front. Figured I would add air to find the leak, only there was no valve stem, just a hole in the wheel. Quick trip to the tire shop, then back to work.

I wanted to comment about the grapple. I do have the Frontier/john Deere AV20F which I had a the John Deere 3rd function installed (ouch). It has been amazing and while I don’t have the new F series which adds the same capabilities(double clamping claws)as the Artiallan grapple the F series is better at digging and clearing bush. KZbin channel Dash Thunder shows the use of this grapple AV20F and a bunch of different things you can do( great channel he just doesn’t post regularly). I just used my grapple to cut down 100 feet long 20 feet wide of bamboo by myself along with a stihl kombi pole saw I could have never gotten through the project with the root grapple. So thank you Tim for showing us all the different way you use the Artiallan Grapple don’t dismiss the frontier version it definitely works above its preceived capabilities for a 1025r. I got back a ton of my land and cutting down tree takes me less than hour now that I have the grapple.

What kind of tree is growing by the vary tall stump? That stump is going to fall someday. Hopefully that tree is an oak that will replace that stump tree. I think there is room to plant about 3 more oak trees in that area. You may want to be ready to put up a farm type fence along the woods when they put in the housing development. While it won't actually keep people (kids) out, it is a strong hint and helps define your border. 2" X 4" rectangle wire, 5 foot high maybe? If you are ready to put up a fence, then you are not caught by surprise if you start having problems and can put the fence in right away. Also new home owners may put up their own fences so I would wait to see what happens but just be ready. (cash in bank designated for the fence)

Great video Tim. I really like the looks of your new grapple. I really like that style of grapple, meaning the shape. I much rather rock bucket bottom or other types as long as there is bottom. I am always a bit surprised when I see you use that clamshell style. I had a clamshell at one point and hated that clamshell style, was always having to pick stuff up multiple times. That looks like a really nice grapple setup you're using today.
@TractorTimewithTim

Yea, mixed feelings. I like the clam shell for certain tasks. This one has my head spinning. It is "different" than any other I've used. I tried to describe the ability to 'sift' at two different resolutions. ...meaning 2" and 8-10". That is a nice feature. I hope it made sense. I could see using this as an all around grapple. ..and of course Artillian is top of the line quality. Nothing compares!

@@TractorTimewithTim I seem to recall an old video of yours where you were cussing that clamshell type almost as much as I did for the same reasons. LOL I probably traded it off too quick, I never did learn any tricks or techniques to keep stuff from falling out of it. lol I really hated that clamshell style.

@@jdfleetguy28ha! I like the clamshell for loose brush. I think I can get a larger load with it. However, with logs, rocks, or anything that might need to sit in the bottom, the clamshell is not good. I also like the clamshell for ‘raking’ the ground. However, this new rock bucket is even better! Never seen anything rake as cleanly as it did…and NO dirt in the payload! I’m gonna use this for more all around usage to see if I could truly recommend as all’s round grapple.

Great video Tim and a nice learning experience for me. I saw the way the tire popped off the rim and that is a good reminder lesson for me. The JD compacts can turn very sharp so that if you have full steering deflection and then push hard with a heavy loader that puts a huge force on that outside tire. Lots of stress on that tire bead. I need to beware when using my JD4066M in that type situation.
@occ9867
@occ9867 9 ай бұрын
Had the same unseating problem with my 4066r and grapple. Left front probably a little low, heavy oak log, sharp turn. Had to use the old bicycle inner tube trick to reseat tire however, even a ratchet strap wouldn't close the gap sufficiently to air up. Fortunately like you, no damage.

I was wondering, does each grapple have its own control or are they connected so when one reaches a stopping point the other then moves? You really should have some rearview mirrors on all your tractors for safety, you might not have run over the drone!

🙋‍♂️ Tim, I have a question. I have a 26 hp Kubota B that’s close 1000 hours. It has the front end loader, but I don’t have hydraulic access for another function. I would like to get a grapple, and maybe another function for the rear. My question: At the number of hours I have on the machine would you recommend just finding another machine with the plumbing already ran, or do it myself? Also who do you recommend for the hydraulic needs? Summit? I don’t know what I need to run the grappler I just know what I have and what I want to do. Thank you.
@TractorTimewithTim
@TractorTimewithTim 9 ай бұрын
Do you have the SSQA connector on the loader? If not, I would trade tractors. Do you have ANY other reasons why you might want a different machine? size, reliability, etc? If you still think your tractor is optimal for your needs, and will be for the foreseeable future, then sure, upgrade it! 1000 hours is just getting going good :-) If you have ANY need for a new machine, by all means upgrade. The resale on the B will be reasonable. ...that is one of the reasons to buy from 'the big two'. If keeping, you can get a summit 3rd function, or you can get a LandPride/Kubota 3rd function. We show installing BOTH of these on B2650 and LX3310 in a video a couple of years ago.

I hate when trees go down. I’ve got 7 massive over 150yo live oaks on my property, the Spanish moss dripping from the limbs is irreplaceable. Anyhow, I’ve been “unsubscribed” before even though I didn’t, I’ve had to type TTWT and resubscribe twice. Hasn’t happened in a while, maybe a glitch? Dunno.

I like the Kubota references. I am really SURPRISED that NO ONE is wearing any safety equipment. No chaps, hard hats or face shields. You run a how to channel Tim,, so I expected that you would want to show proper safety technique even if you felt you did not need it. Some neophyte might see you cutting wood like that and think it is ok not to where safety equipment. Then have an incident. All of the professional loggers I know wear safety equipment never mind us less skilled.. Safety should not just be emphasized just with tractors but with all equipment use... Wayne

I don’t disagree with chainsaw safety. Your approach via your comment makes it seem like Tim doesn’t care which isn’t true. The majority of people I see don’t buy Tin chaps, hard hat with face shield and hearing protection. I will say this if you don’t have this safety equipment using the tractors to clear bush and move wood does make the chainsawing safer because you can see what you are cutting. You can also use the tractors to safely cut wood and that helps you make a safer cut. I do think also Tim may not be qualified to preach chainsaw safety that topic is hours of training and experience. Tim does look to have a bunch of experience it’s just not professional. I also see professionals on KZbin not have all the safety gear required. Might I suggest Buckin Billy if you’re looking for a professional chainsaw and logging channel.

Loggers are required by law to wear the equipment. Homeowners are not. I do but I have seen too many accidents and have responsibilities. When Tim is doing à for pay job he should be wearing safety equipment. On some worksites I have removed safety equipment because I judges the equipment to be a safety issue in particular instances. Always cleaned it with the superviser and safety compliance officer first.

Don't need to watch Buckin, I do it professionally also when asked to do so in addition to my own woodlot management. You misread my comment. I never made any reference to Tim's intentions. I said if he was going to presenting it to the public with his tractor he should be present the safe methods of doing so. I don't know why it would take you hours to learn how to use safety equipment, people we teach usually pick it up quickly. I also never made mention of him teaching it only using it. I don't care how experienced you are if you choose not to use it your not only being foolish your being dumb. Incidents only take a fraction of a second and are never really foreseen. If they were there would be very few of them...........@@roady7420

@@brianhillis3701 I was also required to wear safety at an old job climbing telco poles. The main thing that scared me was the size of the OSHA fine if you got caught climbing without your gear(think like 25k to 50k plus your getting fired). I am not disagreeing with how dangerous using a chainsaw can be. I felt the Original poster ⬆️ was being unfair because literally everyone I see using chainsaws around the home doesn’t wear the safety equipment. As I was explaining I don’t think Tim is a subject matter expert on Chainsaw safety. So I felt the original poster was shitting on him unfairly which knowing Tim he probably let it go but see I am a troll from the internet and I don’t have let that poster be a prick. So I was kindly was trying to point out maybe give Tim a break.
