JP has to be the most extraordinary guy that happened to European car culture. Humble, yet crazy enough to fight for his dreams and love for engineering. This is my first time ever hearing about him as an American even though I've been consuming automotive content since I've been a kid just like JP. Him talking about the car brochures hit me right in my childhood 😂 He's one of the best ambassadors and personalities for car culture that I personally have ever seen. You can tell he has a passion to inspire people about cars, but even more so with children. Seems like he'd be that really cool uncle you'd always want to hang out with.

Yea that's unfortunate. Even without know JP's backstory growing up, you could still tell how passionate and thoughtful he was when crafting his museum and restaurant. There are many VERY wealthy people in the world with massive car collections, but I've always appreciated people like JP who had very diverse taste and knowledge in cars and motorsports. Much better than the rich that just buy every expensive and exclusive supercar/hypercar just to flaunt their wealth while barely know anything about the history and heritage of the car or manufactuer.

I remember when they built the restaurant. Imagine a specialized car tuning company suddenly applying for a restaurant license, designing burger recipes, and all that. @@tt-rs1457 You can't possibly blame all that on JP, people have been doing this since cars were around... The internet as a whole made car culture more accessible, but also push it into the mainstream more. And this is always connected with problems, more people being stupid etc.
@kooooons
@kooooons Жыл бұрын
Please don't view it as a fight. And please don't victimize car guys. It's just about liking cars and sharing the enthusiasm. That should be a good thing. A fight is not. Maybe there's people out there feeling like they need to hate on car enthusiasts, but only because people that get all aggressive and gatekeepy-fighty over their hobby is just easy to hate. If you see someone ready to hate on you stuff, welcome them with open arms and show them what you like, you'd be surprised how many haters immediately show their sympathy. The hate that car guys experience are a fraction of what other minorities experience. Maybe try turn that experience into something good for everyone. Be nice.
@imGeistevereint
@imGeistevereint Жыл бұрын
@@kooooons I think you missed the point bro. In Germany the rules and regulations you need to follow and how these things are enforced and monetized is what’s making being a tuner in Germany a fight, sometimes literally.
@kooooons
@kooooons Жыл бұрын
@@imGeistevereint No, the original comment claimed it's a fight to be a car guy. Not to be a tuning company. I believe many car guys think that they are oppressed in some wa. But I also believe thinking this way is part of the reason why car guys do face some hate and prejudice and why they think this is everywhere when really it isn't.

Larry tells fascinating stories. I absolutely love them. Hagerty has really good videos, but I look forward to Larry's the most. To hear the excitement in Larry's voice when he saw his own pictures in that museum was priceless. I wish his videos were longer.

Hey there, I'm from Germany and I watch JP's videos every day but you gave me a new and interesting point of view. You're also a very pleasant person to me since I saw you in the JP video "drifting in Willow Springs" for the first time! Thank you! Keep going and stay save 👍 Greetings from Germany 👋

This video was very emotional to me! I follow JP since 2009 in his first appearance on TV at PS Profis and later on since 2013 at his KZbin channel JP Performance. Your chat in the G Class was quite wonderful! Thank you very much for visiting him to show the US Audience was a nice guy he is and what he achieved in this topic.

I watch this guy every day and have seen many videos like this over the year… where other KZbin personalities film a tour of JP… but your video felt fresh and special. I was glued to my seat even though I have seen all of it few times already. Nicely done.
