Didn't shy away from calling it racist, didn't mince words about how she gets treated differently from her black teammates. Extremely proud of this young lady. When you go to war and are in the trenches with people different than you and you realize they have your back regardless, that's when you are able to form such a mature understanding of the way the world is. I’m still a fan of Van Lith, not so much of Reese, and race has nothing to do with it. It’s about character. I would have been more positive about Reese had she not continually displayed classless behaviors/tweets/comments towards other players, especially towards CC. Since the 2023 Championship, Reese has displayed obsessive acrimony towards CC, which has continued through Reese’s pro career. Reese also would do well to avoid crass self-promotion. It actually diminishes her.

For the record, I've not read the LA Time piece.... But displaying a lack of sportsmanship should never be condoned. Sports is about more than winning or losing. It's about building character. Far too many players never learned that lesson and some coaches.
