This actually works! Really well. I kept the black tea rinse on my scalp for 30 mins. I also kept the conditioner on whilst I did the tea rinse as I didn’t want my hair to dry out. I did a 15 minute deep conditioner, and I used a plastic bag to cover it. Three weeks later and I’m experiencing minimal shedding. Thanks so much for this. Love your videos.

Siiiiiiiiissssss! I came here to test-uh-fy!!!! Ayyyeeeee! So my good friend and colleague who I esteem as my hair coach sent me here to listen to the black tea rinse video. So I decided to do this treatment every Saturday for a month and then twice a month after that. I did it because I had some shedding which was a little more than usual. Additionally I was aiming for a 5 month stretch but ended up doing a 4 month stretch. I switched up your routine just a little bit to suit my hair needs and it worked out for me in the end. I went to relax after 17 weeks post relaxer which was yesterday. My hair dresser wasn't too pleased that I waited so long (since I usually do 10-12 weeks of stretch) but I am super glad that when she started manipulating my hair she could not have said anything negative. When I asked her whether there was a lot of dead hair she said no. Which meant that my black tea rinse routine actually worked for me. And ofcourse I am super happy that I got some leeennnnngggggttttthhhhhh! I was really trying to go for the 5 months mark like you did in one of your videos but I had to listen to my hair. Hopefully next year God's willing, I can attempt the 5 months stretch since I have discovered a routine that works for me and my new growth.

First time taking my hair so serious! I actually had lots of hair at one point (like we all, right) and at 50 did the big chop! My hair immediately grew back - but something started happening. It began to thin and I regretted doing the whole natural thing at that point. Because my hair is fine, I have been told on a few occasions don't relax! Really! I miss my straight hair so much and would love some advice. Shedding with breakage - YES! I will try your technique and hopefully, I can find an educated stylist that knows how to take care of my hair once again. I absolutely love using black tea but what you said about it having higher caffeine than coffee is not absolutely true, Tea leaves contain 3.5% caffeine, while coffee beans have 1.1-2.2%. However, the coffee brewing process uses hotter water, which extracts more of the caffeine from the beans. ... Therefore, 1 cup (237 ml) of brewed coffee generally has more caffeine than a cup of tea.

Great content here! Can the DC be applied immediately after the black tea instead of waiting 45mins? Would it still be effective?
@superwomanme4 жыл бұрын
No you have to give the tea time to penetrate your scalp and hair follicles
@HairliciousInc4 жыл бұрын
You can spray the tea in your scalp and apply the DC to your ends to eliminate the extra step and do everything at once.

I tried the tea rinse but it didnt work for me. I will try letting it cool and concentrate overnight. Im sure that was the problem. This video was right on time, as per usual. Thank you Sunshyne☀️

Been doing this for at least the last 7/8 years. I had a bad bout of hairfall about 8 years ago and after 2 weeks and 4 rinses, my hairfall dramatically reduced. P.s. green / hebal teas didnt work as well as black tea . I cant get myself to use my personal choice of coffee on my hair ( way too expensive). I take my cooffee drinking very seriously.

Thank you. I'm going to try the coffee method as I don't have the black tea at home. Thanks much

@hairlicious . Your channel is the best thing that ever happened to my hair! I have shared it with everyone!! How often do you recommend using black tea on my hair? Can I do it once a week for a few weeks? Thanks 😘
@HairliciousInc3 жыл бұрын
Awww thanks hun. Super happy to help! The black tea rinse should be done biweekly and then taper off to monthly for maintenance. If you have extra left over, store it in the fridge. That’s what I do.

Hi 👋🏾. How long did you leave the aussie in? Or did you co wash with it? Also, I wonder if this dry heat is causing all the hair shedding for everyone..
@HairliciousInc4 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋🏾 I left the Aussie Moist in for maybe 1-2mins.

I hope you see this message… I realized I have been shedding more than usual could b because I’m 7mths post partum. I want to try the tea rinse for the 1st time and I was wondering if when I apply the rinse can I apply the deep conditioner on top of it and wash out together?

If you want to reuse the black tea rinse do you throw away it away or you can leave it in the fridge in an air tight container and use it the other weekend?

Very informative! Thank you Did you have to condition and then deep condition again?
@HairliciousInc4 жыл бұрын
I wanted to quickly soften my hair in the shower, that’s why I put the Aussie moist conditioner in. I know that if I used that alone, my hair would end up feeling dry in the week, especially since BTRs can leave the hair feeling dry. So deep conditioning was a must for me. Always, do what’s best for you and your hair.

Great video as always, thanks! I love using black tea, used it both as prepoo and after shampoo. I'm due another use this coming week. Something I have noticed is you applied your DC from roots to ends what I normally do but founds do many ladies day it's the wrong method but I really don't understand how, any idea?

Hi just curious why did you choose the hair dryer instead of the steamer for the deep conditioning treatment?
