The part about the " business feeding" is so true. I've raised 4 children and can testify it works most of the time (when they are healthy of course). Invest in good night lights and have everything you might need within an arms reach.

I am amazed . You have no idea how much I struggled putting babygirl to sleep . I had no help from anyone other then my husband when we came home from the hospital so no one told me I was carrying her so much or you can say "spoiling" I tried EVERYTHING and I kid you not YOUR method is working I literally want to hug you for saving my sanity ! 😭 my daughter is 2 day shy of turning 7 months I'm on day 4 and you were right ! It only took her 4 days to K.O. In like less then 10min ! Amazing ! I've tried the Cry it out method but always caved in cause I had zero direction . FOR ANYONE SEEKING HELP her method works . Before I couldn't even get out of bed to use the restroom without her waking up and crying for me and was constant nursing or pacifying at night (we shared bed) but the only thing is I feel like she doesn't eat as much? But other then that I wanted to Thank you ! New Subbie 🙌🏻 (I never leave comments! But this time it was a must)

I don't consider myself to be an attachment parent but this is pretty much what I tell expecting mamas! Getting your little to understand the difference between day and night is all about how you handle their day and night. It's so easy to let baby sleep all day (especially when you have multiple children) but if you need sleep then you need baby to sleep at the same time. Such simple yet sound advice! You are a good mama and your well rested baby thanks you 😊

Yes to all of what you said! My 15 month old son was waking up 2-3 hours up until 3 months. I started changing the night time routine to never turning on the nights, keeping things very quiet and would put him straight back down after. It took maybe 2 nights but he started sleeping through! Felt like a new woman after only getting 4 hours sleep after getting up 3 times! Love your vlogs, been watching for around a month now! Love from the UK!

thank you!!! my 10 week old baby boy is at the 5-6 long stretch stage but after that I'm up every two hours nursing 😖 I noticed he slept longer when I bottle fed him pumped milk but now that I can nurse him I'd rather do that. I feel confident I'm on the right track thanks to your videos. The subscribers must keep in mind that all babies are different and it may not go exactly the same way for them. I can't to see the update to this video. I love all your videos 💟

I loved your previous sleep training vid and this also! Your other vid seriously saved my life a few months ago! My daughter was the kind of little one that needed to be nursed to sleep, but now that she's turned a year, we are working on the whole putting her down drowsy, but awake thing because I'm over having to nurse her to sleep for 30-60 minutes every night in addition to the rest of our bedtime routine! It's been rough going, but hoping it will get better. Hope your sleep journey with Cohen goes smoothly!!!

I was so scared to watch this because Sleep Training can be detrimental to some nursing babies, but your method seems very gentle and respectful of your baby's needs and personality. I have 3 kids and none of them have actually had to be "trained" to sleep through the night, it happened when they were ready and all at different ages for each child. A great book for those who may need more help or encouragement is called "Sweet Sleep" by La Leche League

Great advice! I followed advice from your previous video and my baby is sleeping is 10-12 now. I really think it helps not changing diapers at night and using a good cream. We also installed dimmer lights in baby's room, and keep a strict routine.

Great tips! I thought this would be a scheduled feeding video, but I'm so glad it's not. This is my kind of sleep training video. My first child, I NEEDED to turn on a light to nurse, but then he would be awake after. Hi Elle thanks for this video! I'm wondering what you do about burping? I find that my baby (8weeks old) gets very sleepy after nursing but wakes up the moment i try to burp him. I don't dare put him down without burping because he tends to vomit. I haven't tried to not burp him after a nurse as I worry about him vomiting in his sleep. Is this something that bothered you with Cohen as he has severe reflux?

Thank you SO MUCH for this!! You have given me hope. I am all for attachment parenting but sleep is a major issue for us. I would really appreciate your response here: Is your sweet baby able to sleep okay when you are out and about? I.e., if you visit a friend/in laws, if you are out (mall, park, etc)? In case your outing runs into nap time, have her sleep training allowed her to sleep in those situations or does she have to be in the exact same environment that she was sleep trained in?

Hi Elle!! This video has been a godsend for sleep training our little one. Now, I've come to the point where we're having our baby sleep 5-6 hours straight (from 10 pm - 2:30/3 am), then BOTTLE and another 3-4 hours. The problem is, how and when do we know to skip the 2-3 am bottle? Do we just wait until he's 4 months (he's 2 weeks shy of it) before we skip that feed OR do we wait until he's 5 months? It would be great to get your response - again, your videos have helped so much! :) I'm now a happy subscriber!

Hey. My baby is 6 1/2 months and still not sleeping through the night. I have been trying to sleep train him for about two weeks now. He is a breastfeed baby, and he loves his milk. Lol. He goes down to bed between 8pm- 9pm and then he may wake 10:30pm-11:00pm sometimes 12:00pm. And then again at 2am, and then 4:00am. I don't know if he is hungry and getting enough milk or he just nursing to go back to sleep. When I try to give him his pacifier her turns his head and doesn't want it. He just continues to cry. Help please with any advice or guidance. Thank you. T

You're a very smart lady. I get it now why you call all this "Sleep Training." I was confused when I watched the last video about "Sleep Training." I get it now. Sorry if it sounded like I was picking apart this whole thing in the last video. It was never called "Sleep Training" when I did this with my kids. It was just something seasoned Mommies told new Mommies they should do if they wanted any sleep. The way you put it is so much better. I wouldn't have felt like I was being mean to my kids. Thank you for sharing this. You're a very informative Mommy. I was wondering something though. Who taught you all this? Did you read about it somewhere? Did your Doctor tell you about this? Was it maybe your Dad? I wish I would've known what you know when I was a new Mommy! Would've made things a lot less stressful. Anyhow, I loved this video. Again, thanks for sharing, and dealing with all my questions. Bless you, and your family! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Your sleep training videos make so much sense! I have a question. The issue I'm having is my 4 week old fighting sleep soooo bad. He has since birth. Anyone have any advice on this? He was a really good sleeper the first couple weeks but the last week or so, he's really kicked it up a notch. The last 3 nights, he's cried/screamed for about an hour while I try to soothe or nurse him. And then even once he falls asleep, sometimes he will wake himself up crying. Neither of us are sleeping very well right now 😩

Hey Elle! My daughter is just about 4 months old and she sleeps from 7:30pm-3am, gets a bottle, goes back to bed for an hour, and then is up every 20-30 minutes after that. She's been doing this for months and we're exhausted! We do bath, bottle, book and she puts herself to sleep after we lay her down drowsy. She's a champion sleeper for the first sleep cycle, but has trouble after 3am. What are we doing wrong? Perhaps it's the pacifier that falls out and wakes her? Also, we still have her in our room and would like to keep her with us until closer to a year. Please help!

too much stimulation maybe? Or getting too much sleep during the day? I hope things got easier for you!
@DR0537 жыл бұрын
Fannie Momma Bee Maybe too much sleep during the day? Over stimulation came to mind as well. Keep everything dull, dark and boring at night. Also, make sure she's going to sleep 100% on her own. This makes babies sleep SO MUCH longer than if you were rocking/feeding her to sleep.

Elle, I have a 4 month old girl and her bed time routine starts at 7pm and she is sleeping by 8pm with minimal tears now. She will usually wake up an hour later... we give her a soother and she will fall back to sleep... should we let her cry it out? Also she is then up at 230am and I breastfeed her at that time but then she is up at 530 sometimes earlier. I don't believe she is hungry. I'm wondering if you would advice me changing her bed time all together to later at night around 10pm or 11pm? Or just keep at it? We have been following your training for about 2 weeks.

Also, do you use a monitor to listen for when baby wakes up or set your alarm to anticipate baby's sleep cycle at say the middle of night feed? Do you swaddle baby? Should I sleep her on her back? First week hubby n I took turns sleeping to watch her (hold her) while she slept. Desperate for sleep but still paranoid about risks of not breathing or choking on a stuck bubble burp.. I've been holding her on my chest as we sleep together in our bed. (Not ideal! Lol) she's been nursing on demand durning night and falls asleep nursing. I'm afraid I'm teaching bad habits but I don't know how to fix. During the day she can't be put down alone without crying and that's prob the most overwhe

Thanks for this! Could you talk about daytime naps? I've been following the 90 minute slew cycle routine where my 2.5 month old is asleep within 90 min max of waking, and then he usually naps 45 min-3 hours. I do cut him off at 3 hoursusually but don't often have to. He can nap 5 or 6 times a day though if the naps are short. Bed time tends to be 9. Any suggestions for getting the bed time earlier eithout keeping him up for hours during the day? How many naps does Cohen take?
