Dr. Isaac Kleiner is probably my favourite HL character, he was technically the reason I finally decided to give Half-Life as a series a shot due to watching various compilations on players screwing around with the scientist AI in HL1 with their unintentionally funny screams and dialog which became iconic to me, with one of the scientist models, Walter becoming my favourite which coincidentally would eventually evolve into Dr Kleiner for HL2 where I just loved his interactions, involvement in the story and memorable voice acting from Harry S. Robins. Just all around a great character!

One thing I want to mention about the very start of HL1. I my self don't think the Anti-Mass Spectrometer caused the equipment to fail before it was used. When I first played HL1 I thought G-Man sabotaged them in order to shut down any fail-safes. Computers are weak. One too powerful surge of power and the CPU is fried. Though I would ques the explosions were exaggerated for the sake of story telling as it might have been hard to make a fried computer visible to the player at the time.

Great video! And even if the question does not fit perfectly here, I´ll try it: Is it ever explained how the Combine could conquer earth in this short amount of time? And are headcrabs and zombies part of their forces? Then there are Striders and their aircraft worms, ok. But what is missing is the infantry. Maybe some lore buff can help me out here, thanks a lot!

Nope, they never explained in detail how they steamrolled Earth in just a few hours. What we know is whatever assault force they used, most of it was pulled back to their homeworld. Headcrabs are xenian creatures and not synths mass produced by the Combine, although later they learn to weaponize them against human rebels.
