The chippy finish really looks great with the details in this piece and I enjoyed learning that you could use little black dress to make an actual chalkboard. Jami you were pretty with the glasses but you are glowing without them.

It might have been a mirror that broke, just leaving the backer board. I like it with the chalkboard though! And someone mentioned this in the live on Saturday, but you totally need to do a #220 t-shirt for the shirt line, since that's your fave sandpaper grit.

Zeb did a nice job making that hall tree. I see a salvaged door, salvaged or made corbles, I have a cabinet with almost that same design on it as the front, its spanish influence from the 70's if I remember right. Good new framing so you have something to nail too. A couple of stain colors I currently have in my home. Yep, its a good Frankenstein hall tree. Good cheap repurpose of where the door glass was. A mirror would have cost a fortune. It should sell well if its not for your home.

DIY Big Top or Sweet Pickins Top Coat are both very durable. Top Coat is more matte. Big Top is more of a satin finish.

Looks fabulous!!! I’m wanting to milk paint a coffee table and two end tables.....never used these products. We have 4 kiddos, I want it to hold up well. Suggestions and tips please.

We have 5 kids. That’s why I pre distress everything! 😂😂 All of these products we used in this video are safe and hold up well. You may want to do 2-3 coats of wax and let it cure well before use.

I have a critter sprayer and wonder if the rubber seals used for canning would work instead of the cardboard ones that are sold for the sprayer. Have you tried this?

As long as it’s keeping the paint from sloshing out it would work great. The jar needs to breath to work. 😊

Not thinking, I bought laquer instead of shellac for bleed through. Do you know if it will work the same?

Lacquer is a decent stain blocker. It will take longer to dry in between coats than shellac. I would do 2-3 coats in the affected areas.

No one has complained yet. I suppose if someone was really bothered by it we could paint it but our prices are usually pretty reasonable so we don’t get many spooked complaining one way or the other.

You could put another coat on and see if that reactivates it. Sometimes Zeb hits places he wants to help it crackle with the heat gun or blow drier while it’s drying. Doesn’t always work but he’s had decent success with that. Just real light heat. You don’t want to burn the paint. 😊

Just to say love your work but if you expect to get top dollar I would expect my piece of furniture to be painted all over its not that much more paint it’s about finer details that make you stand out from the rest Maximum effect maximum money.
