In the AI lounge, Chief was trying to "self-medicate" or "talk to someone." He couldn't go for actual therapy/psych eval without outing himself. As a Spartan with a newfound emotional life and trying to cope with PTSD/the loss of a being literally melded with his own mind, I get it. It was awkward, but it was supposed to be so.

In game lore and possibly silver timeline covenant were always trying to get their hands on any AI and any navigational data so they could find more colonies and humanity's home world, hence why cortanat was probably taken. Also in lore and in the first season when Maquee takes the ship the captain followed the Cole protocol which states any ai and nav data that could lead the covenant to earth had to be destroyed, so it is very strange that ONI would leave Cortana to be taken but they probably have a plan for her. I wonder if its to start operation red flag.

@@MrHammerman97 the season 1 writers said that. The new show runner said his plan was to make it a love letter to fans. That's why they pivoted hard into the fall of reach (novel) story. None of the writers from season 1 are involved in season 2 but they're still writing themselves out of a corner. Also, season 1 takes place BEFORE the fall of reach, and before any of the games. People keep comparing it to the games, but there's no games to compare the story to. Season 2 episode 2/3 is the earliest point in the games. I've been a Halo fan for 23 years and have read expanded lore and watched every piece of media. Season was not great, but Season 2 is actually really good.

The br isnt just 3 burst it is an automatic weapon, they can switch it, for gameplay you cant do it.

Whilst I understand that some live adaptations can never be one-to-one, my issue with Keyes death is a couple of reasons 1) I’m sure I read somewhere that the showrunner had played the games and stated they’d be sticking more closely to the lore than Halo S1. If that’s the case, why kill off Keyes now 2) Keyes plays a pretty important role in Halo: CE, fighting alongside Chief, accidentally discovering/releasing the flood, which eventually leads to his heartbreaking death scene 3) most importantly, it doesn’t feel like his death in the show has been earned in my opinion

Command is taking valuable assests off of the planet, leaves cortana on the planet. Also, Chief isn't gonna have his armor on until the seasons end, is he? I just love how they're shitting on an iconic part of the chief. Additionally, The Battle of Reach is supposed to be a titanic battlefield, with battles on the ground and in space. And here we have 50 marines and three Spartans without armor.

The believe BR does have a full auto mode, we probably never got to use it in gameplay cause the Assault Rifle exists, cause why give us two full auto rifles.

What makes you think Ackerson made out with the artifacts? Didn't Makki make contact with at least one of them at the end of S2E2? Would she have left it?
