It’s interesting that female jackals have essentially mating armour since several reptiles such as iguanas have toughened scales to protect the next during mating and males are typically more colourful and display orientated in both reptiles and birds. Jackals are really interesting when you think about it, but out of all the alien races, Jackals definitely sound the least fun to bang and that says a lot

There was initially funding for 300 Spartan-II candidates, though this dropped to 150 before enough were confirmed. And then after confirming 150 candidates, it dropped again to 75. The candidates were then presumably chosen based on coin flips. They already had their designations before the funding dropped to support only 75, before they were kidnapped. There is no particular reason any candidate got a certain number, besides possibly the order they were confirmed to be suitable for the program.

John is the 117 Spartan, there was 120 before, but over 70% died because of the hard experiments in the first project, he was one of few survivers of the program, who still life. The numbers comes from the numbers theirselfs, you should see the movie, is a good one. ^^

When you talked about how allot of the cutscenes involved a pelican this makes me wonder if halo infinite does end up being open world that maybe the pelican acts as a transport hub to chose a location to go to. Female Jackels are in Halo Infinite! The Skirmishers in Infinite are actually normal female jackels that are filling a role similar to the Reach Skirmishers. Their voices are different and they even use female terminology when talking about them.

Unless I’m wrong here (more than likely am), I recall there being a mention of the Jackal’s kins- the Skirmishers- having females as their alphas and officers. Those being any with reddish/orange armor and shields on their forearms or green armor with hologram tech. I think the gold ones were female too or perhaps alpha males of select few. Could be based on the reptile and avian animal species of earth who have female dominance. But again, I’m more likely wrong here.

I honestly hope that Halo will become a live service after the Chief series is complete. There are so many rich pieces of lore and planets to explore. Could you imagine being a Spartan or an Elite guard to a science team? Or Patrol the wilds of Sanghelios or the New Reach again. To me the chance to be aboard a ship with other players and just immerse ourselves into a world, Destiny or Warframe style. Would just be fantastic. Don't get me wrong classic halo is awesome! But id love to play as my Space dino again. Even if its just in MP or even a mini series for each race. Perhaps im just a lore junky who wants to see all the planets and explore all the ruins with his own eyes.
