This series was so frustrating. There were elements i really liked, such as the action, sets, costumes, and covenant. But there was also a lot of stuff I really didn't like at all, such as the writing, some of the characters (Kwan), story choices, the way the chief was portrayed, etc. I hope there is some major improvement for season 2 because I love the franchise, and season 1 had potential.

A show written by people who didn't care for the source material and ruined the opportunity to make one of the best video game adaptations of all time (considering the prop department for the most part was on point with the designs). If you haven't read it the leaked script for the old proposed movie adaptation of Halo CE do so, it beats this hands down and it was only an early draft.

How hard would it have been to convert the first three halo games, or the first three and reach into a season per game? Why did you feel the need to take a well established and loved franchised and destroy it? The writing was so bad in this first season I literally felt part of my soul die when it came out.

Never watched that show because I was afraid they'd ruin the franchise with silly inconsistencies. Clicked on this vid out of curiosity and now I must ask : 2:30 why would that door - a door that looks like a fallout vault door, which has a wheel door handle, would open like a regular door? I'm just gonna stop there and stick to the Halo games.
