A suggestion: Add a ramped playerclip going up the stairs. This makes it have the smoothness of going up a ramp and the looks of stairs. Without it, the character's head bobs annoyingly.

Instead of dragging the stairs you can use paste special (shift + control + v) and you can enter the x, y, z translation and rotation along with the number of copies. Definitely a lot easier than dragging and a lot faster
