As a relative new comer to this channel i have basically watched every encounter over the past week. Love the content and the way you handle the interactions with the police compared to some other similar channels where the photographers openly provoke the situation for content is a breath of fresh air. its a misonception. they are not required to identify unless they are arresting someone or searching someone, but it is deemed "good practice" as such to do so if requested. but it is not unlawful to not identify if they are simply asking somebody questions

Utter tosh I’m afraid. Whilst the law does not demand it, that’s true, Police Policy is exceptionally clear - and non compliance with Police Standards and Code of Ethics is a disciplinary matter. I herewith quote a recent FOI request, restating that requirement: Uniforms All Uniformed staff will wear their name badge at all times whilst on duty wearing the relevant garments/uniform, and wear epaulettes with identifying letters and numerals and/or insignia of rank. If the officer reasonably believe recording or disclosing their name might put them in danger they shall use their warrant or other identification number and the name of their police station or building. ...so my friend, no misconception on my part, only yours.

The Police Officer in plain clothes on the bicycle is breaking the law at 05:23 - cycling on the pavement is a contravention of Section 72 of The Highway Act 1835 - The offence is committed = "If any person shall wilfully ride upon any footpath or causeway by the side of any road made or set apart for the use or accommodation of foot passengers..." he's cycling on the footpath beside a road where he clearly ought to be cycling on. Any chance of a complaint?
