I had my feet done 7 years ago. The one thing I would say is that the worst part of it is when you get the pins and sutures removed😅 But it's great to be able to walk or even wear certain types of footwear without having my toes bleed because of friction with the shoes

How will the toe be able to bend at the point it had been, if the surgeons had removed both pieces? There will be no pip joint to bend the toe, only the tip of the toe will be able to bend. That would feel awful.

I had hammer toe surgery about two years ago now and I can say that it is very awful. It took almost a year for me to become really comfortable with the fact that because I can’t bend my second toe I could barely bend my big toe. It’s better now that I can unconsciously and carefully bend the tip of my toe but while it was healing if I stepped wrong or got startled i would also unconsciously try to bend my pip joint. It’s definitely awful all around but it beats the pain and discomfort I was feeling before.

None of the videos are explaining anything about the pain and the bone that is underneath the foot, that doesn't allow u to walk properly, It feels like there is a bone under the foot, i wish a video could explain that part. Thak you.

This is barbaric and may be unnecessary in my case my doctor numbed my toe and from under the toe used a needle to cut the tendon, it straightened right out, walked out of the office with a bandage on my toe , a little discomfort for a couple of days but it wasn’t as evasive as this video

But after the two bones are connected to each other, doesn't the toe become malfunctioning? I mean, there is no joint any more in between those two for the toe to be able to bend appropriately for the person to walk without any disturbance.
