Hi, do you own both interceptor and classic 350? If yes, How do maintain 2 bikes ?

I ride them often bro..Tours are mostly done on Int650. Short 1 day trips within 500 kms I do on Classic 350. And weekly I ride each one are around 150 kms... Maintenance wise I just clean and lube chain every 600 kms...That's all...and periodic service every 5k kms for classic and 10k kms for InT 650. It's not v cumbersome..

How would you rate the quality of RE service especially with intercept or 650( pls mention your place also). How much does the oil change service cost , in paid service ? I am planning to buy either interceptor 650 or KTM adv 390; a bit confused. Would love some suggestion. I myself own a 2016 Himalayan but the 3rd year onwards I am very disappointed with the quality of RE service . I am not really planning to sell my Himalayan , but a little confused if I should again buy a new bike from RE.

Due to Lockdown not much bro....Not much Riding Since 1 Year . I have clocked only 15 k Kms in the 18 months since purchase. 1st service at 500kms costed 2400 with oil change. 3 litre oil change.. Second Service at 10k costed under 3 k with some Changes to brake fluid and wheel alignment and stuff. Now my front brake pads are worn out. Need to Change it. It would cost 2.5 k for the front brake pad. Would also need to change tyres. That would cost from 10-20k depending on the tyre I choose. Issue wise I have had wobbling on my bike. Which was not resolved on wheel balancing. They told I would need to.change tyres. So would do that n see...No other issue with the bike . It's a Gem

You can surely take RYNOX storm proof bag to Ladakh. It can easily fit clothes for 5-6 days. The RYNOX storm tail bag is actually fitted on you're back seat. So pillon can't sit in the back seat. If you have a carrier behind ur pillon seat. Then you can put ur tail bag over there and then pillon can sit. Else I would suggest you to buy rynox nomad 2.1. it has more space than tail bag...and you can keep it on ur back seat and pillon can also sit easily

@@omkarmodak4554 yes it's v good....my friend has it....i myself have the previous iteration. My rapide crucial. It's light weight n snugfit...jus see that u buy a good fit...and it fits ur head shape. I got m size as per my head size ....but my first tour... U experienced pain in couple areas of my head....bcos it was v tight .....I cut a bit of sponge on the inside n now it's alright. So fit matters. Also it dsnt have a sunvisor...so it's your choice with that. Other than that the helmet is v good..light weight and easy on the neck also. It's made of fiberglass. And is ece and dot certified with pinclock ready visor. I have additional mirrror visor to for sunny days. Overall you can buy it. But your planning to spend so much money....you cna as well try bell or shark or agv helmets. Try shark evo one 2. It's the same price as mt. It's a modular helmet with sun visor and same certifications

how did u manage the fuel ? i think 650 ranges b/w 200-240(heard) and what about when u don't find any petrol pumps ?

The full tank range is from 250-300kms...considering u have 13litres petrol as the capacity is 13.7. I dnt go Berserk while riding. I maintain around 120.. I got a avg mileage of 22-24 overall.. And since this route is from Chennai to Hampi....you can find pumps almost every 5-10 kms all throughout... I used to fuel up every 200kms irrespective of the mileage... That way I had to make 6-7 fuel stops for my roundtrip of 1400kms....main issue is the fuel gauge reliability...it's not accurate .. u do get scares inbetween hehe...one moment it's showing two bars , the next it's blinking empty lol😂

Great content Roshan, Thank you .I would like to know if its much tiring to ride 600 to 700 km in a day on this bike without much breaks. I am asking it because I used to ride CBR250R and RE350 Electra. Electra was hell pain in ass and back however in CBR250 I rode approx 1000 km in day and then only pain I used have in neck thats due to wind blasts. I am planning to upgrade and hooking up at interceptor. So just concerned if i can take interceptor to long rides like CBR250. Require your opinion on it.

The Interceptor performance wise is great. But for comfort you have to make a few changes .. the seat is not good. You have to either modify it or add Air Seat......I have A Classic 350 as well...but I found the classic to be more comfortable than then Int650.. Performance wise it is v good. You can easily cruise at 120 all day. You can reach avg top speed of 170 . Overall if you're fit physically and mentally then u won't have any prob. I rode int 650 for a max of 300 without a break. I have covered max 800kms on one day.

Haha it was because of the top Box bro. It's rectangular in shape...so sort of not great aerodynamicallyon this bike. Thats why it wobbles so much . 😂

Not yet Shyam. This is good for most conditions which comprises of highway cruising, speed breakers and flat muddy off roads and little puddles and stones etc.....But the suspension travel is not like a himalayan or xpulse , so u won't be able to do those kind of riding. But yeah ppl have successfully taken it to Ladakh , nepal etc...so you can manage with it. Would just require more effort to navigate such terrain than with a proper off roader motorcycle

I have told my friend to get me rigid aux lights from US when he comes....Bcos in India the same lights are sold at 60% premium. From my trips I can say that you do need to get a pair of Aux lights if you travel more in low visible areas like foggy places or if you ride at night. I did struggle a lot when I went to Kerala n started at 4 am . The stock lights did not have enough intensity to light the road...nor was I able to see the things on the side of the road which is kind of dangerous. So I would suggest you to get one if you're into touring. If you're a city rider. You can stick with the stock ones. They are more than enough

You have to make some mods to the seat surely. It's not meant for touring u less you're very fit or a test rider. In anycase u can add a air seat on top of you're seat or just modify the seat on the whole n use it. Other than that u can do small tweaks....like adding handlebar risers , windshield and changing the footpeg position. All this will Increase the riding comfort. But lot of people ride without doing any mods too.....so depends on the person's physical and mental fitness level. The bike on the whole is great

Does the magnetic tank bag affect working of Fuel Injector of interceptor or GT 650.?

Till now mostly no has reported such issues in Interceptor.. Early on while release...few people owning GT complained of engine switch off while using magnetic tank bank. I have used 4 magnetic tank bags so far on my Interceptor.....n haven't faced any issues....Even my friend who owns a GT hasn't got any problem with magnetic tank bag on. Cheers😊

I now own the Orange crush Interceptor 650 since 2 weeks. Your ride n overall other videos are great. Even m a rider from Mumbai and after owning a RE 500 Desert storm, i got INT 650. However i have quick questions: 1. Did u feel the need for handle bar risers. My height is 5.9 so am yet to explore the highway rides. 2. Are the stock seats comfortable for solo rides. Does getting just the seat covers with a bit of extra cushion help or will there be need to change the entire seat.

Will install it once it arrives and let you know the feedback. Will be posting a video on that too.. Coming to the seat, on top of the seat cover I also have a air flow seat from the company 'FEGO' . This solves most of the seat issue. There's another brand Ride On Air which offers the same seat. You can check it out on Amazon. 06:40...brother the bike wobbled.. You must get 2 things checked ASAP... The wheel balancing/alignment... And the second and most importantly the T stem nut tightness.. Sorry I jus saw ur comment. The wobbling was purely because of the top box. It's problem in all the re twins. Windblast causes it due to its horizontal shape. Other wise it doesn't wobble. I purchased the shad top box online from a Bangalore based store called bike n biker. They have tons of goodies. I got it at a discount price too. I choose 42 litres than 39 cos it was cheaper... And has more space too..it fits my helmet and my riding jacket etc easily..cheers...happy riding😊

@@sailorrider9802 v sorry for the late reply. KZbin doesn't show all messages if I have my notifications on. I have done 750 kms longest in a Day.. And the Top Box is great actually ..V handy. Easy to Access and V protective. Othe than wobbling , I dnt see any negatives of top box. I could easily cruise at 120. Coming to riding comfort, I would say stock seat is a bit under cushioned for long distances...but u can buy a air seat(ride on air or fego free float) and put it on you're seat and you're good to go. Alternatively you can modify your seat as well for better comfort. Overall my experience is positive

I have experienced a wobble on my interceptor at speeds above 80 on all kinds of roads. Leaving your hands kind of exaggerates it but you can feel the wobble as soon as you loosen your grip on the handlebars. The wobble increases if you are carrying luggage. Please have it checked. This has been reported on many bikes. I am yet to find a solution. All the best and keep riding safe.

Actually I have this wobbling problem only when I have my top box mounted on...having a tail bag doesn't create any problem. But I have seen some interceptor's having this wobbling problem. It's due to the rear tyre. Few people have reported this problem. My problem was due to top box....otherwise it doesn't wobble

Thanks bro. I got a mileage of 24-25 on that trip. I rode on avg speed of 90-120...up n down distance was 1500 kms. Petrol consumed was 60ltrs approx on whatever the petrol rate was that time

Hey Brother thanks a lot. I have fitted Puig Windscreen. You get multiple options from Puig . You can alternatively fit new Himalayan visor. It's the same but cheaper. You just have to purchase the mounts for himalayan visor.

Sure. You could probably get a hold of the new 2021 himalayan windshield from the showroom and just clamps to mount it on your bike. The new Himalayan windshield is taller and wider too . And would be cheaper

Yeah bro if u leave both the hands from the handle bar, it wobbles...not just 42 but even sh39 wobbles to some extent.

It happened bcos top box was attached. As the front of the bike is not tall and as the top box is wide enough...the aerodynamics of the bike gets compromised. So it vibrates when u take off both hands from the handle bar. Without top box it's just fine..no issues
