Not a rebuild, just a clean-up n engine swap. Remove the head/barrel, split the casings ect, fit new internals. That's a rebuild mate👍

To be fair there's really no adjustment on these carbs other than idle speed and setting the throttle cable needle free play. They aren't exactly precision engineering. You can get a whole new engine with carb and pull start for under £60GBP which should tell you something! I'm in the middle of rebuilding my second quad with same engine - parts are dirt cheap, and tolerances are in the ball park type of range. Great fun though.

Use caution when working on the clutch. It could contain asbestos in the pads and dust.

Removing the clutch. I just screw a longer screw into the screw hole that holds the clutch on and hit it with a hammer, the clutch just pops out

Right at the moment, when he kept the damaged gasket, I was like "I hope he doesnt..." Then he cleaned the damaged gasket and put it back in. I literally screamed at my screen "WHY YOU PUT THAT BACK IN! thats NOT how a REBUILD works!!!"

For the carb I would’ve got a new filter and the spark plug replaced too but other than that this was a cool restoration

these engines heat up very fast because there is small mass of aluminium. It just takes like one minute to warm it up good

Far from a rebuild if your going to go thru all that work just take the extra ten minutes and crack the case check bearings maybe replace them. I would anyway maybe before you even started all this check compression to see if the rings are good still. And hell if thats to hard the modded engine is like 80bucks shipped on ebay and you dont have to do any of this
