How many times did you practice this video before making it to 4min, if you don't mind me asking?
@AmbiguousGxrlzCluster6 күн бұрын
@samanthamitchell4115 Each week I increased by 15 seconds. And I started this practice with 3min as my personal best so roughly a month.

Hi to anyone struggling with this exercise and anxiety (like me) - stick at it, but know you can do it at your own pace. Initially the exercise made my anxiety worse, the hyperventilation phase freaked me out big time, it stoked my panic attacks, gave me painful pins and needles, and I couldn't get past 1 cycle, so I gave up a few times. But when I realised I could just take it at my own pace, mainly with less extreme depth of breathing, shorter breath holds etc, after just a couple of weeks I'm now at 6 cycles and 3 minute holds with no issue, and really getting the hit of endorphins, all over warmth, and above all calmness. Thankyou.

This is by far my favourite breathing exercise. I don't manage to get much past 3 Min breath hold. In order to get to the next round I simply extend the breath hold with full lungs. That typically gets me to the point where I can join in smoothly with the next round and 4 Min are no problem at the end with this double breath hold. This exercise has helped me big time getting more energetic and positive.

@HandsOnMeditation7 ай бұрын
You can hold your breath as long as you are comfortable. Just listen to your body. You have greater potential than you realize. Some days it will be easier and other days it will be more challenging. That’s normal. We all have different stressors we’re dealing with at different times. There are other versions of the exercise and different lengths on the channel. You might want to try some of those also.

Although new to the 4min BH - after the 3min BH with minimal guidance - if it'll help, or not - with minimal guiadance, in the future? That would be a NICE TO HAVE, as: A few days before, I had the 3min BH w/MG as a background sound throghout the whole day before, jumping to the 4min BH excersice and now, Evangelism =) , just after 2 continuous days of doing it succesfully. Peace. Just, THANK FORGIVE LOVE to EVERYONE in YOUR LIFE on each excersice. You can do it, for YOU. Wait, patiently, until you watch the Stars!

You should listen to your body and work within your comfort zone. The breath holds are meant as a guide, but it’s fine to take a breath early. The goal is relaxation.

I really like it but I'd preffer a more comfortable pause, instead to 3-4 minutes a 1, 1:15, 1:30, 1.45, 2 minute breath hold would be more doable. 3-4 minutes is too long for most people.
