Cooked this tonight. Luckily I doubled the recipe because it was rapidly devoured. Most excellent! I didn't have Bisquik so I made up a substitute (flour, salt, bk pwdr and butter in my Ninja) and it worked out perfectly. I added another of your recipes to my Keeper list!

Honey and I laugh over that song when it comes on the radio. Lately, they play it on a San Antonio station that we listen to. Like the "Margaritaville"song, even tho we don't drink and the lines, "Blew out my flip flop, stepped on a pop top"but we make fun of it and say, "stepped on a poptart" LOL...Just one of those things. Girl, you have good recipes and this one is similar to Impossible Cheeseburger Pie, good stuff.^^*

love this old retro easy recipe. i have made this a few times before but my recipe calls for adding 1 pk. of lipton onion soup mix in with the ground beef n onions while browning , than drain . mine also is doubled on the meat n onion n baked in a 9x13 pan . also before adding the cheese on top mine says to add ketchup or mustard or both all over the meat {optional} . the idea of the bisquick mix is because it forms its own crust so it mocks a bun . my family loves this when i use to make this . i think i will do this sometimes this week coming upon us . thanks linda for the idea . i forgot about this old 70's recipe ty so much n ty sam for the taste test . i just love all ur recipes linda. you 2 have a great rest of the summer .....its almost over { sad } !! when are we all going to get to see a face or faces { you n sam } ????? hugs from michigan the pic next to my comment is my husband michael and myself . ty again linda n sam , god bless you both and ty forall you both do for all of us fans !!!! hugs n xx from michigan

+kathy jo tourtois Hey Kathy jo, I've had this recipe for a long while and had forgotten about it. I just happened to come across it in my loose recipe file. Sam said he felt like putting ketchup on it but I liked it just like it came out of the pie plate. I had 2 slices and he ate the rest of it! Can you imagine?? The picture I use on my channel is me but I was only 32 then. I'm old now and a great grandmother. I don't really think anyone cares if they see me or not...but I'll think about it. The summers here are so hot and humid and long..we really won't see fall till October and I absolutely love fall! Fall is my favorite season and I'll be kicking summer out the door and holding the door open at the same time!! I know it's different in MI. the summers are shorter and winters long so I understand how you feel. Thank you for your verbal appreciation. I welcome it and positive remarks keep me going! God Bless!!

+Kim Mozingo Hey Kim! You sound like you know a lot more about Jimmy Buffet than I do, and you've been to his sisters restaurant!!! What a treat. Well you'll especially like this cheeseburger pie. I boosted up those spices tho, 1/2 tsp. just wasn't enough so be sure to give it a taste test before you put the cheese and Bisquick on top. Thanks for watching and commenting....

We made something like this the other night. Didn’t use the Bisquick topping. Instead we mixed 8 oz. of elbow macaroni, cooked, into the meat mixture, and added a can of cheddar cheese soup. Also added some ketchup, a bit of mustard, and even some chopped up dill pickles. The grated cheese was the topping. Was it good? All I can say is there were no leftovers. (And a diehard Parrothead here!)

Hi Linda. Aaaawww I really love the look of this recipe. Please tell me what bisquick is. Is it some sort of gravy powder? I live on the other side of the world. ☺ I love watching your videos and Sam's comments. God bless.
@Handsthatcook8 жыл бұрын
Hi Shelley, Bisquick is a flour based product that has other ingredients added that makes it easier to make flour based things like biscuits, dumplings, toppings for casseroles, pies and similar dishes. You can make your own Bisquick at home. I don't have a recipe on my channel but you can do a search on youtube for how to make Bisquick and you'll find quite a few sites that will show you how. You can cut large recipes for it in half or small recipes larger. It's your choice. I hope this helps! TFW and commenting. God Bless, Linda Thank you for the nice compliments!!

+kathy jo tourtois Hi Kathy, I know of and have watched from time to time, all of these channels. I try to stick to my own selected recipes unless I come across something extraordinary. Thanks for the suggestion though. Are you trying to tell me you're bored with my channel? LOL! I won't be making homemade velveeta 'cause I don't like it and the lunchmeat doesn't appeal to me either, yuck! I don't like copying other channels (unless, like I said, it's something extraordinary) I just don't think its a good practice. If another channel happens to have done a video on something I've done and I've repeated it, it's innocent on my part unless I mention I've gotten it off another channel. Those are all good channels, some of them great channels but their videos are theirs. Have a great week!!
