It's true, when you start eating healthy, you start craving healthy foods. I rarely ever crave unhealthy foods, sometimes during my time of the month I crave potatoes. Cooked in the oven with olive oil and sea salt. Amaaaazing.

same. when i was younger all i ate was sweets, chocolate and crisp then i got a health check up and i basically was malnourished and told to make changes to my diet. so i started eating 3 balanced meals a day and going out for walks and ive never felt much better. now i crave green smoothies. i also love potatoes mainly roast potatoes.

i 100% agree with 12:39. I had the mindset of losing weight to look like certain people on social media and when i didn't see results i started forming such an unhealthy relationship with working out, food and my body. I then started doing P.E as a subject and i changed my mindset to being fit and healthy so i can continue with the subject for my O levels because i enjoy it so much. I have been so happy with my body these days, i even started being able to see people on social media and compliment them without comparing myself to them.
Love this simple happy enjoyable and holistic view of health and fitness, I’m transitioning towards a plant based diet and I feel so amazing taking care of the planet and animals just by eating ! Everything just seems to align : health, pleasure, people, animals, planet...

Just want to add some info re FODMAP - it isn’t/shouldn’t be a “diet” as such that you’d stick to long term. It’s meant to be a process, monitored closely by a dietitian, whereby food groups are eliminated then carefully reintroduced in order to try and work out what foods are causing symptoms. That can then help determine if you need to eliminate any food groups for good (e.g. gluten). It’s almost impossible to do FODMAP elimination alone because it’s intended to be a super meticulous process to identify reactions from certain foods. ❤ Love the points raised in this video so much 🎉

When I eat healthy, I feel amazing, my skin clears, I don’t hold water weight, I stress less about everything, I have energy and I feel confident in moving forward. When I eat bad, I feel blah, I don’t want to get up, I stay up late and wake up late, I have no energy, I get acne, I retain lots and lots of water and yeah, all that “fun” stuff lmao

I love this video. I'm also plant based and have been for around 2 years. I'm struggling to adjust to a new routine atm, but realised that getting fitter and losing weight all comes with listening to my body, rather than trying to force a fitness routine I don't enjoy and isn't working for me. So much science isn't focused around women bodies and how much the time of the month can influence hormones, and thus how we eat and workout. I've started reading "Women, Food & Hormones" by Dr Sara Gottfried and "Ultra-Processed People" by Chris van Tulleken which has really helped me to reflect on how I am living. A lot of what people consume, isn't natural or normal but has become accepted because of the type of society we live in, and it's a real problem that needs to be addresses.

When you speak about your plant-based diet it makes sense. How it works for you and how you feel about it makes sense to me. I am not plant-based but over the years I have considered it. The problem for me has been the few individuals I know who are plant based still struggle with body image, weight gain and vitamin deficiency. They didn’t do their homework. It never made sense to me that they’re putting this effort in for little to no outcome. You are proof that you can maintain this lifestyle, fairly easily, and thrive. Do you find that you need supplements? My friend from India grew up vegetarian, she also excludes eggs and gluten. She is now experiencing eyesight issues. Her doctor says it is diet related. She eats very well balanced and I haven’t heard of any correlation between the two. Thank you for the video:)

I am so glad I found this video. Thank you, Hannah and Sophie! You girls shared exactly the principles that I hold: to measure food in terms of its value for our body and to do the type of workout we feel like doing for the day. Such an amazing sharing. In the past two years, I have been trying to live a healthier lifestyle by eating a dominantly plant-based diet and exercising more often. My journey has not been a smooth one but I choose to not give up and continue learning about what and how I should eat on a plant-based diet and exercise to achieve my body goals.

Loved this video and definitely can resonate with so much of what you both talked about! My only thing that I wanted to mention, especially for other people in the comments about to read the book recommendations you both gave, that the book "Superlife" that your sister mentioned is FILLED with tons and tons of misinformation thrown with random scientific articles to make it seem like it is proving his point. I am only mentioning this as a biomedical science graduate and current medical student, a lot of the science he mentions in the book is not accurate and a lot of his evaluations are massive fear-mongering and misinformation. I highly encourage anyone to avoid this book and just physically research articles on health and nutrition published and peer reviewed in reputable journals with large sample sizes (no, not from blogs or your favorite influencers). "How Not to Die," on the other hand, is a very interesting read and written by a medical professional, so the science and articles quotes are accurate, I would just be wary of biases when reading any book, and for this book in particular it is heavily biased towards promoting veganism (not saying that's a bad thing at all, but also just wanted to mention that it is not the only type of diet that you can have and be extremely healthy- actually the one diet that we learn in medical school during our nutrition intensive that has the most consensus in published research to be one of the most healthiest diets is the Mediterranean Diet- which includes cheeses and fish). I just wanted to post this here so that everyone reading can be informed and make informed choices regarding their health and lifestyles! Good luck to everyone!

It is all great and stuff, however it is a fact that some people reach better results than the other simply due to genetics. I also eat healthy and workout consistently but such body image would be simply unattainable for me (believe me, I tried hard) as well as for many other women. I just think it’s important to remind ourselves that we should not compare our bodies to others’ bodies and also that sometimes diet & sport is just not enough to be skinny, and it’s okay. It shouldn’t be about the body, it should be only about being happy.

1:10 to add onto this point, your body is unique and you genetically have a smaller waist, larger glute muscles. People need to not only focus on their own personal journey with food and exercise but they have to be realistic as well as far as their bone structure and genetic makeup goes.

I dont know if this was mentioned, but if you do decide to go plant based please see a nutritionist or doctor so they can tell you what supplements to get. I am someone who does enjoy eating meat (mainly chicken, rarely red meat), and a lot of the cuisine that I enjoy generally has a lot of meat in it i.e. Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc. I am aware of the environmental impacts and cruelty that comes with farming en mass and have always tried to go for plant-based options but sometimes I really miss eating meat and the actual feeling I get, if that makes sense, like I feel full after eating something with meat in it. So my question is (sorry for the little ramble) when you changed to eating plant-based did you ever feel like that and did you change slowly as in cut out certain meats first and slowly change to plant-based options (I can't remember if you already mentioned this sorry)? The second question is I've been struggling with developing a vegan/vegetarian dumpling recipe that is really filling and yummy, do you have a recipe you could recommend? I love your videos, I started watching them a few months ago and they've been a big inspiration and help.
