It can be a blessing and a curse, depending on how you look at it! I’m quite mechanically/engineering inclined (thanks Papaw) and, for the most part, my husband loves it! Buttttt, when he’s worked really hard on something and then I come behind him and say, “do you think it might be easier/better if we changed it to this way?,” and it is, indeed, easier/better to change it, it definitely frustrates him that he didn’t see what I saw to begin with! 😂😂😂

Hey y’all… Tin foil, also spelled tinfoil, is a thin foil made of tin. Tin foil was superseded after World War II by cheaper and more durable aluminium foil, which is still referred to as "tin foil" in many regions. 🤗

#Thanks Hanks: Your fifth wheel has a lot of garage space available for storage. Rv manufactures have been making slide out storage compartments that slide out from an RV garage. Maybe you could look at either making two half drawer slide outs for your RV garage on each side, or one long slide out that runs the length of the garage, or double slide outs, because the garage is deep enough to accommodate this. Here is a link to an RVer who made a slide out for his 18BH. Growing up I spent my life going out on boats, whether it was on the Puget Sound or on a ferry. In my opinion, the ocean can be a vicious witch from hell that is extremely unforgiving. The ocean has unexpected storms with gale force winds that come out of nowhere and come up fast. More than one schooner has sunk to the bottom of the ocean, during a freak storm. Safety is paramount for me, especially when I'm hundreds of miles from medical help and supplies, floating on an ocean for weeks with no land in site. The pirates of the Carribean don't make the situation any better for mariners. Yes, I'm not joking, because there are pirates of the Carribean sailing the waters today and looting passing by schooners the way that they did hundreds of years ago. Except in modern speed boats with engines designed to outrun schooners, without an established military force to repel the pirates with. Often law enforcement in a port of call, in a foreign country will look the other way and nothing happens to the pirates for their raiding ways. I would tend to look at taking a cruise with a reputable cruise company to the Caribbean from Florida and back.-Happy Trails kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZOsc3usncqqntksi=hOF-jbIbMphDhntQ

**Edit** The further you move the thermistor to the top on the fin, the cooler the refrigerator should become. The further down you move the thermistor on the fin, the warmer the refrigerator should become. Sometimes it helps to use a clothespin or paper clamp to keep the thermistor in place. Also check that the opposite end of the thermistor wire that goes down into the back of the fridge hasn't pulled out.

The common household foil USED to be made out of Tin, pre-WWII. During WWII, due to rations and shortages of many materials (Tin), companies came up with aluminum foil. "Tin Foil" has, then to now, become a misnomer / generic term for foil, kinda like "Band-Aid". Who do you know that says; "I need an adhesive bandage." . . . Currently realizing I'm responding to two ER Nurses who quite possible say "Adhesive Bandage" so commonly like a Nave Nuke Tech would ask for a glass of H2Oand think nothing odd of the wording. 🤔

If you have a large solar/battery bank or even a medium size, get rid of the gas/ electric refrigerator. Get a french door 12vdc compressor refrigerator. Great for boon docking full hookup, and it works great in cold and humidity, and stays on when you're driving, because it uses battery only without and inventor.

He just replaced the back of his refrigerator with 12Volt system at J.C.Refrigerations in Shipshewana, Indiana it took an hour and half to replace the parts. It’s about 10 miles from Grand Design corporate office. They take out the guts of your original 4 door fridge leaving the original box and replace it with the 12 volt system refrigerator . He was having a lot of problems with his 2021 Reflection 4 door refrigerator. They use the same box his freezer is running at 0 degrees now!! Incredible. The refrigerator is at 35 degrees. The guy camping next to him in a Dutch Star Diesel Pusher is getting it done tomorrow. It cost about $1,600.00. Just another option to think about.

Well after YouTubing, google, etc. I found that a Residential Magic Chef 10.1 cu fit in the same spot as the Norcold 8 cu something foot fit. Guess what…. Not only did I save the hassle or warranty issues, repair time, etc. or even a complete Norcold replacemnt, a 300 give or take home-depot Magic Chef refridge worked. Gained a lot more space in the fridge. ALOT MORE SPACE. Magic Chef fit like a glove in the factory hole…. Food for thought. Only thing you don’t have is the gas operation if needed. I can run off my Champion generator if need be if boondocking. But hey…..hassle free easy Peary fix.

A lot going on there! LOL. As far as the placement of the thermistor, we have a slide on one of the fins (barely noticeable) that is used to adjust the temperature. I believe our thermistor is attached to the slide. I would take a picture of it and send it to you but our RV is at the dealer right now getting the windshield day shade motor replaced. Nice organization on the tools but you find out that's a lifelong chore. It never goes away. Safe travels.

Tin foil??? Come on folks, it says aluminum foil right on the box. Plain and simple. End of story. PLEASE!!!😁 Also look into coming to Kennedy Marina in Newell WV. It's right down the road from Pittsburgh on the Ohio river. We have a couple boats and a jetski. You're welcome to visit sometime. We are weekend warriors on a permanent spot. We'll take you two for a day on the river for some shenanigans 🤙

You guys are always entertaining. You always teach me something. Fixing problems your self saves a ton of money. I agree with Carl on boat ownership. After having a 10 year experience owning a 36ft twin diesel boat I would have been way ahead if I had rented a boat every time I wanted to go. Grandpa Jack

Great vids! On your travels in the south, we would recommend Cloudland Canyon in NW Georgia. On costal South Carolina, Hunting Island State Park is great. Coast North Carolina, the outer banks just south of Kitty Hawk. Just outside Charleston SC, James Island City Park is really close to town and is a great campground.

A neighboring RVer built pull out drawers out of 2x4s and plywood with the metal rollers like for kitchen drawers. He put large Rubbermaid buckets on it. It kept everything organized nicely.

Now you tell us not to go camping in the freezing cold. We lived through a whole MN winter in our RV and had no idea.. 😂

Ok again thank you for sharing your hilarious video on rv living! I kept thinking it’s so true the more you try to organize there always seems to be a mess and then get cleaned up! I’m doing a reno on my trailer and it’s a constant puzzle where to put things! Oh and laundry anywhere is a drag! But it’s great when it’s done! Thank you again for all your ideas! 💕🙏

That Bucket Boss may find itself in my shopping cart. That looks like a great system. No more mixed metric mixed with SAE, Everything in its own spot.... May need two of them 👍 Very cool Chess set too. Stay YOU.

Just take the leap and drive to Fairbanks Alaska. If you get there by the summer solstice you can see all of the midnight sun activities...our home town.
