It's so rewarding to watch your rescued Greyhound overcome their trauma. Our tripaw Grey just used the dog door for the first time last week since we've adopted her like 3 years ago. She only uses it when she's anxious and wants to follow one of us outside but otherwise it's such a big step! 🥰 Happy Birthday, Bunny!!!

I know it was a lot of work on you and Jenna's part, but she got comfortable with you both so quickly and for a traumatized puppy that speaks so highly of your character as people. “All the shit we didn’t put in the video… us crying” I feel this so much. I have a grey hound/ German shepherd mix rescue and it’s been 4 years since I got him. He finally starting to welcome guest but only to females, he still doesn’t like man. All the days that I cried and no one saw that, I struggled for years wondering what I was doing wrong on why he wouldn’t start to relax and try to trust people that he sees every day, I had people tell me I should just put him down because he would never get better 🥺 it was so hard but we recently moved and he is doing so good with most people. I love him so much and proud how far he has come ♥️

My mom got a collie 5 years ago that was so shy, scared, timid and almost unsociable that the rescue she got her from just gave her to my mom for free cause they were so supportive and surprised that my mom wanted her as they never thought they’d find a home for her. I used to joke she was actually a deer in a fur coat hiding out during hunting season, now it’s hard to believe I ever felt that way. She’s turned into a complete attention hog and legit princess 👑 who loves to bark. Last year my mom got another rescue dog, a sheltie/Aussie mix, and same thing with the total shyness and being timid. But after a year we can’t believe how much he’s come out of his shell after the trauma of loosing his original owner in a house fire and we believe it’s because he could see the other dog was happy that he felt safe enough to trust us. Patience and love can really go a long way.

My third dog took three months to learn how to eat inside our house and from a bowl. I had a very special bond with him because I was the person who hand fed him and helped him adjust to our house. We had him until right before his ninth birthday when he got sick and passed away last July. I still miss him every day. He was so patient and kind with our other dogs, especially when someone was sick or needed help. Give bunny an extra smooch and pat for me and Georgy, those rescues who need extra help adjusting are always so special.

Happy birthday small horse. I adopted my dog a month before Bunny and looking at this video made me so emotional... I know how hard it is to have a dog scared of everything and still effected by the past trauma. My dog was abused, scared of everything and he was skin and bones, even the shelter was quite shocked we chose him and not a puppy. Since then he has put on a lot of muscle and weight, we go on hour long walks every day and he cuddles up to me in bed every night, he is no longer scared of people and this was all in the last 3 years after having lived the first 6 years of his life being abused and then abandoned. Looking at Bunny makes me so happy to see that both of these dogs have been healing, even if there is no direct connection I will have a special place in my heart for her for the rest of my time❤️

My family adopted a stray 3 months ago and the transition has been difficult. Bunny and her humans have been such an inspiration to me.
