Merry Christmas Margaret and all Sixty and Me. A quiet day here, just traditional ham dinner with my son and his family. Then a nap because I had a rather sleepless night last night. Already got my mile walk in and may try for another mile later if the rain holds off. I miss the larger family holidays but that's just not to be for us and it's OK. Many Blessings to ALL.

Christmas is very nostalgic. I remember my mother so much. I think about the birth of Christ, n renewed hope and peace. This is my faith. I look forward to family coming over. Merry Christmas from Australia 🇦🇺 to you Margaret & everyone here. I spent Christmas Day for the first time ever, entirely alone bereft of what little family I have here, a son & his estranged family. No special moments or memories shared with grandchildren whom I haven’t seen for almost a year now. I’ve shed some tears these past couple of days trying to come to terms with loss of family & the emptiness that follows felt particularly at this time of year. I had Thanksgiving with my family but I'm home alone today. However, the grandchildren video chatted with me first thing this morning so I could share their Christmas gift unwrapping. I kept saying let Gma get her coffee first! It was very enjoyable. I live alone so being alone on Christmas doesn't bother me. I'm using the quiet of the day to sort through my family photograph albums and organized the loose ones. Several I'll be giving to relatives or friends who might like to keep them. It's a nice nostalgic task for the day! Then a short yoga and stretch routine and an evening walk. Nothing too strenuous !❤

I've been sick with a nasty cold/flu that my husband gave me. On Christmas Day, in the afternoon, everyone left, and I stayed home with my two dogs. It was great! I feel a little better starting to do my morning workout again. Hoping to walk the dogs today. Head out to see my horse and go for a little ride. I met my husband later in life and neither of us had children by choice. I mostly fill my life with animals. Is anyone else on here that way? MY HEALTH IS MY NUMBER ONE PRIORITY NOW. The aches and pains are real. Merry Christmas everyone! Peace on Earth wouldn't that be lovely.

My husband and I married late in life too, and we have not had children by choice. However, we love animals and have loved three dogs during our life together - we are blessed to still have Molly with us. I've heard we are referred to as Pet Parents. My husband and I had no children either, but lots of dogs and cats over the years. I lost my husband 5 years ago this month and now, am down to the last old, dear dog that knew him. Christmas can be a very sad and wonderful day for me. ❤ Thanks for all the comments. This is a cool group of us! 🥰💞
