I was introduced to him by a friend since school, a vet and the godfather of our only son. It was "Sam Stone," years ago, then, "I Remember Everything." I know! "Thumbs down?" What's up with that? Wish I'd seen him live. We had tickets for the summer of 2019, but he took a couple of weeks off the tour for surgery, and had to reschedule the show. Then Covid hit, and then he up and died. Rest in Music, John.

The same for me. I had heard of him because my mom really loved his music. When he passed away I listened to one of his songs and I was like "Wow!" I'm a big Miranda Lambert fan too but didn't realize she had done any of John's songs. He was a class act all the way. Absolutely precious.

As heartbroken as when my dog died, it feels so deeply painful. All he ever wanted to do was make us laugh 'in spite of ourselves.' I'm writing a lot since he went away and calling it, John Prine and Corona. I think he'd like being attached to a wo-man with such a pretty name. I am so glad that I got to see John in Philadelphia on his last tour. The show was great and then we lost him. He was an American Treasure. I just wish that I had found his music earlier in my life.

Saw John twice in my lifetime. So enjoyed both times. I left the CCU early to go see Him. Told the Dr. "you have to let me out...........have tickets for John Prine tonight. " Hahahahaha...so glad I went. HE WAS SUPER GREAT. That was in 2003.............still enjoying Him R.I.P. Mr. Prine.

John Prine Would laugh at a thumbs down vote, he'd say I know my singing voice before the throat cancer surgery and after. The surgery didn't improve my singing voice. We loved John for the stories he told us. Not everyone likes John but for those of us who do a big.Thumbs Up.

In beauty, had the privilege of listening to this fine man for an hour and 20 minutes In Farmington NM in 76 or 77... He played a 1500 seat venue. He was on a rocky mtn "tour" Found out he was playing the same night he played?! No advertising, no radio stations even played his incredible music!!? Maybe 30 or 40 people finally stagger in .. He come out set down at the piano and played till I cried! Never again will this happen,😢 He set down played his opening song finished, turned to the "crowd" and said if no more than two of you came to hear my music, I would play! Go in Beauty!!

Oh, Caleb. I'm sorry. I'm with you. I miss him so much too. His sudden covid illness & passing was devastating and was also around many other devastating things that month for me & my family--plus worse stuff later in the year. I couldn't get over being so knocked down by John's passing so suddenly (after just seeing him in November!). I was able to start listening again recently as just listening (not part of grief processing). Feeling good to enjoy again and I think I just need to know that these songs now have that added element of poignant loss. It's okay, that's the way the world goes round.
