Happy to get out there to support you! You've killed it through so many weather events on this trail. Hope the PCT is treating you well. Excited to potentially all meet up at Katahdin. -Marina, HMG

Going back and seeing the conditions of the trail, and what you've had to endure, much appreciation for filming as much as you do. 👊Thank you for all the effort, please stay safe and take care my friend 🙏 might be a good idea to grab some water purification tablets in case you have another filter issue✌️

While I do enjoy the scenic shots of you walking by and past the camera, I'm starting to feel bad for you that you have to turn around, especially when you climbed up that first rebar section. BUT, I appreciate your effort and the fact that you consider the viewer during this epic hike.

Thanks for showing a different perspective of the Whites and Maine. I came thru in late September and finished my hike on Oct 9, 1990 with beautiful fall colors.

I rarely filter water in Maine or NH. The Baldpates are one of my favorite mountains in Maine, the views in the fall are fantastic.

There are Bobcats and Mountain Lions here, but the latter are rare.

I almost forgot how steep some of those sections in the 1st half of Maine are...almost. Of course the mts grew and got steeper since '82!🤣🤣 Thx for the memories.

Enjoy following your journey. Will be starting New Hampshire around June 15. What do you think the conditions will be like. What you’re doing now is amazing, be safe

What a treat your videos are. So nice of HMG to be so supportive. Their gear is top notch. You might be right about that being mountain lion scat. Officially there are no Easter cougars there, but somebody was ice fishing and caught a video of a mountain lion crossing a pond in Maine . They documented the footprints as well. The department of game and fish is looking into it and I hope they’re able to get scat samples and hair samples to definitively prove it. So exciting to see mountain lions making a comeback in the Northeast.

If the history mirrors that of Michigan, the Department of Game will confirm the existence of a cougar but will say there is no native breeding population, and any cougars in the state are escaped illegal pets, or individuals that have wandered in from out of state.

You lost your water and filter a second time?! I always try to secure the water to some sort of strap. Do you ever carry a backup filter? Hope you stay hydrated!

How come you haven’t switched to the desert portion of another trail, and wait to do Maine when the ice melts…seems very sketchy!

When you choose to hike the Mountains in early Spring-Summer during thaw, knowing what that entails for hiker, cant complain of wet feet and damp sleeping. All part of the journey. Stay safe.
