This is one of your best videos in my opinion. The unedited chaos of the markets and constant sensory inputs makes it incredibly immersive and authentic. These unedited ”one go” vlogs are just the best to me, regardless of content. I could watch 10 of these in a row. But i understand that it must be hard to record them still. These vlogs are just so authentic, a breath of fresh air amongst all the fake shit out there. These are better than 90% of youtube, high production documentaries and pretty much all blockbuster movies. So inspiring to watch for someone that dreams to travel like this.

It is for me. I find it easier when people dont speak your language though as i dont know what people are or could be saying about me. Social Anxiety can get me in trouble in my own country as i am alwas watching my surrounding and trying to avoid people and people take you the wrong way. Or is worse when another anxious person crosses paths and we both perceive each other as a threat and you think each other is a bad person and a threat but you both have anxiety but dont realize. The eye contact is what gets you in hot water most times with other anxious people and its far worse when its only you who is anxious. My solution is im a ghost and i dont see other people and dont act like a hawk or a camera. I hate the stigma of it and how people think you"re mentally weak. Also my childhood trauma plays a huge part too. My other solution is to keep eyes to the ground. When anxious may not smile that throws normal folks off too they think you in a bad mood have a problem. No problem with other people want to avoid problems yet anxiety makes you a magnet for false issues with others. Its not them its me and how i think feel and perceive myself. Smiling more is something i got to work on even if anxious try giving people a huge smile and fit in. Being an introvert i can get consume by my own thoughts feelings and what is going on in my head.

I've had guys like this annoying the hell out of me, telling me where to go and what to do. After a while they ask "sir, give me a tip" like they actually want money for their "guidance" when all they do is ruin your experience. The one thing I've learned in India is that you have to be damn hard and assertive when it comes to your personal space. I know it is hard to do for a normal human being but you have to tell guys like this to f*ck off, it's the only language they understand. Once you unlock this power and know how to get around and manage yourself India is an amazing place to explore; the people, the food, the history. Simply amazing.

This is such a great video and shows it exactly how it is. My husband and I went there with another couple and for two women it was just impossible to shop. We are middle aged but I suppose looked like an easy target for the touts. Our experience was much like Harald's, but x 10. Such a shame, as our husbands hate shopping, and we did want to spend money. Beautiful coloured silks, jewelled sandals, leather goods, bangles, and everything so cheap, we could have had such fun. Shame. Had to return to our hotel.

I love that despite the chaos and annoyances, Harald tries his best to maintain a playful spirit and helps out so many of the local vendors. All the little random purchases are so fun 😛 Edit: Just finished watching and aww, he gave all the purchases away. What a guy. I'm sure the elderly woman will be able to make some money selling them or perhaps give the fun stuff to her grandkids. Such a generous day!

I truly could NOT handle the scammers/touts following me around! I mean they don't even let the shop owners tell you a price for their OWN product! They have to chime in and say a price and tell you all about the item you're trying to buy. Surprised the shop owners aren't more strict about that...Sooo damn annoying. You are right though, most would get sick of it and say "here, take this" (money) and leave me alone. But that only makes them more persistent on their next victim. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a video of you trolling scammers 😂 I would be willing to bet you would have a wild amount of views on that one! Keep up the amazing content! ✌️

It's a skill my friend. The more you do it the easier it gets. Start small and don't worry about feeling dumb. It helps to do this in your own local areas. Find somewhere comfortable for you but still in public and just talk to people. Say more than "Hi how are you" to the storekeep. Find something they're wearing or something in the store interesting and just bring it up. "Nice bracelet, what is that?" "What's your necklace about?" "This flag, what is it for?" etc. Eventually start saying things to people who aren't moving in public that you're near. Just go "What are you doing today?" "Have you been to " etc. You'll likely run into people who see little, don't really engage. The key is to not be discouraged by them, they're just busy with their own life and your life continues onward and that's totally ok. You can watch Harald do this here, some people don't really engage with him, either they don't understand him or they're shy or whatever, and Harald moves his camera and moves on. The fun part are the people who ARE willing to talk to you. You'll get into some lengthy conversations if you let the right people. And then you'll get better at noticing body language, noticing their face and how they change when you talk to them. Then move onward into more unfamiliar environments. The more you do it the more you find it's not too hard to do.

@@RyanKaufman Yes ! I was thinking the same thing, just like any other skill, one has to do this over and over again to get better at it. And now that you point out, I see the non engaging people. I have encountered them as well (ofcourse we all have - like the rude/nonchalant cashier at a local store), but I think I took their lack of indulgence with me the wrong way. Your comment really puts things into perspective. Thank you for your comment brother, this is very helpful. 😄
