One of the absolute best citrus fruit in the U.S. I was obsessed with clementines until I discovered these at Publix recently.

My local Walmart sells a 2lb bag for 5.87. That is the best price I have found. Occasionally, Fresh Market has a sale for 2.99lb.

I've gotten Sumo's at Ralph's for around 2 or 3 dollars. Expensive but I bought the anyway cause they are SO SWEET!! AND.... much to my delight, I found TWO seeds that had sprouted!! Now I have a couple of sumo seedlings and I am wondering what kind of soil they will require and at what point I should transfer them from their wet napkin to dirt...

Where can I get a cutting or a seed to grow my own ... these are great. I was one of the first people to discover these locally and was amazed at how good they are. I always look forward to Sumo Mandarin season.
@Jonesfamprivate2 жыл бұрын
Some have a few seeds, but the chances you get a true type fruit from the seed you grow is very slim.
@justgivemethetruth2 жыл бұрын
@@Jonesfamprivate I am over my infatuation with Sumo Mandarins these days. I used to buy them when they first came out ... they were fresh, plump, orange and very tasty. Now the ones I see in the market are small shriveled up, and green, and even kind of tough as in too chewy. I don't know what happened with this variety, but it's too bad. Oh ... and on top of that they cost at least a dollar more. These latest Sumos I would not even want to grow in my back yard.
