This makes me think about newjeans that got crazy brand deals with some of the biggest brands like gucci when the girls had not even been around for a year. I have worked in marketing and advertising before, and just to set things straight - some fans love to defend idols by saying that brands are the ones offering idols the opportunity to be their ambassador but it's not the case for most. Agencies actually approach brands with deals and promises that the brands will be featured in all sort of medias they have connections with, it's a two ways street. I think the case with Newjeans is like that, ADOR/HYBE offered the brands with exposure through their connection with the industry and media, that's why ADOR always released the news that their idols became ambassador before the brand

Most people weren't mad they were disbanding, they were mad that they weren't given an extension for their last album & as compensation. IZ*ONE was meant to have 6 albums and they were only able to do 5 due to covid setbacks and the rigging black out. The girls themselves were hinting towards an extension during One-reeler promotions, so a lot of people assumed they'd be given some extra time to finish their "One" trilogy, as well as other schedules. When they were announced to disband early, everyone including the girls were shocked because it was pretty clear they were in talks/in an agreement to continue for a few months more. WIZ*ONE knew IZ*ONE wasn't permanent and nobody was shocked when they disbanded, it was the circumstances in which made people mad about it. Idk why non wizones love speaking on their disbandment when they weren't even there to see what actually happened. WE ALL knew they were disbanding.

I dont agree with the hybe shouldn’t be debuting new groups. I mean i agree that runext? was definitely rushed but i feel that was because of whatever conflict that happened between cjenm and hybe which cause iland2 to not be under hybe. The concept for runext? was rushed because iland2 was supposed to happen last year but the conflict caused it to continuously get pushed back. They probably just wanted to give the trainees some publicity and the future group so they put scraps together. However the reason I said I didn’t agree that hybe shouldn’t be debuting more groups is because hybe is not a singular company and they have the infer structure to debut more than one group within a year. Hybe has sub labels which manage the groups. Bighit holds bts and txt, source music hold lesserafim, ador holds newjeans, pledis holds fromis_9 and seventeen, and belift at the time was just holding enhypen and will soon debut i’ll-it(runext? group). There isn’t any overlap only within the sub labels. I hope this makes sense.

the only thing I don't really agree with you is the "idols can be terrible people off cam" and as much as it is true, like we've had our fair share of terrible people in the industry, I think it's pretty unfair and just a negative way of thinking of them, I'm not saying treat them like angels like that's pretty naïve and dumb, even though we also had a fair share of good people in the industry, but I can tell you that most probably like 90% of them as just common people like you and me, who make mistakes, who have flaws, who can act badly in certain situations and good in others. Is it just me or am I the only one who doesnt like the whole "it" girl agenda, I thought being a it girl was being known worldwide or just being known out of the genre or fandom. EXANPLES taylor swift, beyonce, drake and many more, the closest thing to a "it" girl or boy is blackpink and bts cause when you bring up kpop thats the first thing thatll pop up in someones mind who doesnt know kpop. very true on number 6 hybe girl groups are already doing fine alot of attention is on them, hybe should really be worried about fromis i didnt even know fromis was under hybe. i thought they were from a nugu entertainment but clearly not and the fact that hybe wants to add to more groups is ridiculous. humber 9 is true i think two versions is already enough and i absolutely hate when they remake a song and include that into the album making it a whole full album even though that song already exist.

She's even called "Kpop's Princess," and "National Granddaughter" because of how respectful she is and because of how much older Kpop stans love her. A lot of them think of her as a little sister and she is known as one of the cutest and prettiest idols. As a result, in Korea, it is all about being the richest, most influential, and most popular idol.

Para social relationships with idols. People don't like to address or admit it, but i have seen lots of k-pop shorts where people are like 'x would never do that' or 'y is not that type of person'. Acting like they know the idol. Most k-pop personalities you see are partly or fully manufactured by the label to appeal to fans. So yes, idol X could've done that thing. Oh yeah and, stop debuting minors straight up. I do like new jeans but still, the fact that their youngest member was 14 and the majority were minors when debuting shows a lot about where the k-pop industry is heading. There should be laws stopping anyone under the age of 19 because that's just child exploitation. K-pop is turning into Hollywood real fast.

Project groups truly are just there to market the idols lmao. I had to learn this the hard way with Iz*One after ulting them but it is insane to me that ppl think a group existing to debut a project grouo member is an insult. Its literally the point and doesnt actually take anything away from the group. Heck, even just being on the survival shows is marketing. People remember they liked a particular person who didnt make it, they hear theyre debuting, and check our the group. The only ones who should have an issue are those of us who ended up ulting them and now have to face this somewhat sad/harsh reality bcuz we didnt previously understand it, lmao.
