And danger line. And how is critical acclaim about soldiers?
@ajaynorris35263 жыл бұрын
@@tt2k00 it's one of those songs where everyone has a different meaning for it. Some people say they're talking about people that judge soldiers for doing their jobs and others say something else. And M Shadows literally says "So how does it feel to know that someone's kid In the heart of America has blood on their hands Fighting to defend your rights So you can maintain a lifestyle That insults his family's existence"
@themacca2773 жыл бұрын
@@ajaynorris3526 the song is more about the disconnect between the class systems of america. when it mentions the military part of the song its moreso about how these people are out putting their lives on the line meanwhile the rich "elites" of the world continue to live a carefree life allowing others to suffer. Its not about military it simply cites military as an example of the differences between social classes.

Instead of abandoning or ignoring the song due to simply heavier vocals or even lyrics you don't agree with, you understand good music is good music in one way or the other. It physically, mentally and psychologically means LIFE to a lot of people included myself! Keep up the great work, its is truly appreciated. Love from Ireland!!!

Hey Alex. When you talked about the soldiers feelings when they come home… That hit really close to home. When my dad served in the army in Desert Storm. He came home not himself. From what my grandmother told me. She would wake up to hear screaming coming from his room, only to find him huddled in a corner crying. The horrors he had to endure and orders he had to follow. Scarred him for life. People tend to forget soldiers are human just like you and me. They aren’t invincible. So when we send our men and women to war expecting them to come back safe and sound. It doesn’t always turn out that way. My father is a prime example of that. Even if they show no signs of distress. Shake their hand, give them a hug. Tell them how thankful we are for their sacrifice. Not everyone that comes home, actually come home…

I'm so glad for all the random references you put in here, and your obsession with Dexter. I love it as well, and it's hilarious to hear Daniel Licht's wonderful theme he wrote, while seeing _you_ press coffee, haha. Also love hearing the theme regardless, it's like getting a little taste of the show, in between the times I'm not binging the whole series, lol. Also the little bit of dopamine from just that alone is pretty great, then the dopamine from watching the reaction. Especially when the song/video either blows your mind, scares you, or makes you feel weird. It's hilarious 😂 I know that this one is more heavy, but I also VERY much appreciate seeing those real reactions too. Thanks for being and doing you, man 👌

My brother did multiple tour in the 2001 war 2001-2005, 2005-2008, and he was active in the army until 5 years ago. A total of 16 total years in the military. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and I'm just happy he can now be safe home with our family. He was sent home during his first tour for several months from left side shrapnel injuries, "minor luckily" but several of his good buddies did not survive the blast. A roadside bomb blew up on the other side of a tarp convoy my brother was the driver of and if he hadn't been on the drivers side about to walk around the other side to where his buddies were who unfortunately parished, he would not be with us today. This song also hits home for me and I'm lucky and thankful my brother survived and yes GunsLinger. My grandfathers on both sides of my family are survivors of ww2, my uncle a dessert storm survivor, and one cousin currently in the military. Nothing but love and respect for the military and their sacrifice, avenged sevenfold for this amazing song, and to you Alex for the continuous amazing content inspiring me and making my days so much better with all the love and amazing words you share. "we've proven our LOOOOOOVVVE over time's so strong" shit it gives me goosebumps every time... M.Shadows has such a powerful voice! War is not about fighting for what's good nor is it about fighting against evil because, in the end, good and evil is just a matter of point of view...what is certain is that everyone loses something or someone. Plus, having a sibling in the military feels like he/she is part of another family, don't know how to explain it, but besides the pride and honor, there's this subtle feeling of detachment that is kinda hard to bear for relatives. I guess those in that situation can relate.

11 of our soldiers have died already in Afghanistan because of the Biden administration, yet you have the balls to blame Trump for it?
@soulsfang3 жыл бұрын
@@zGodspeed Show me exactly where I blamed Trump for the deaths in Afghanistan? I said I don't like some of the previous administrations decisions. I know reading is hard but bear with me here: I actually voted for Trump because I thought he was the lesser of two evils. I agree with some of his policy decisions, and I disagree with others; I didn't specify what specific decisions I agreed or disagreed with. I dont even own a Twitter so i have no idea where you are getting the idea that I disliked Trump because of his "mean tweets," (regardless of whether or not that is true). Its people like you who give the Democratic party such easy ammo to discredit those on the right. Don't stoop to their level. Do better. I'm ashamed at how the current administration has handled the situation on the ground, and I'm furious that it has led to the deaths of both American citizens and their allies, and I believe that if they keep operating from a position of weakness and keep blaming the previous administration, the Afghan govt., and the people on the ground for not getting out sooner, instead of taking ownership of their mistakes, then this is only the beginning.
